Boy, I do not like the substitution of “partner” for husband. In general, women who use such terminology are to be avoided. She wants the benefits of having a “partner”, but lose your job and see what happens.

Here's what she isn't telling you about:

--she's dated multiple men, it's just that she's been single only about 6 months. She's in between relationships.

--she's covering this "in between" interlude with casual sex.

--she had decent sex last week.

--she has an FwB/is a mistress or sidepiece.

--there are multitudes of men who have shown interest in her but she's not attracted to them/won't give them the time of day/has already nuke rejected them.

Her real complaint is that she can't get commitment from a hot, rich, nice man who does whatever she wants and gives her whatever she wants when she wants it; and that she needs a father/sperm donor/financier for the one or two designer kids she wants.

I always say that women's egos and pride is the strongest on the planet as it is tied to their interpersonal relationships. There is a reason why when women can't secure a man after they hit their wall, they start proclaiming how happy they are being single and brag about the benefits.

It's all a coping mechanism to avoid the vulnerability and feelings of uselessness for not being able to achieve the relationship goals they thought they were entitled to when they were younger. Pride will not allow women to admit they're miserable because they're single and over emphasis their "happiness" as single women especially in studies.

I'm sure you all can see it in your everyday lives. I have an ex who thought she was hot shit when we were in college. Would always talk about having kids and getting married, had it all laid out in her mind. Daydreamed about what they'd do as a family and everything.

She was one of the only half decent women on a tiny campus and she had her pick and that gave her the false sense of security girls get in their 20s at their peak. She dumped me during my simp pre-trp days and leveraged that entitlement into chasing after the men all other girls wanted, which didn't amount to anything of course.

As she got into the danger zone you could see the panic on her social media as she talked about finding someone and started posting thirst traps to get attention. Also started reaching out to me right in the middle of my glow up. After she hit that wall, she started posting about not being sure she wanted to be married and started talking none stop about her education.

Thats the classic cope for women when they hit the wall. They go from daydreaming about the perfect marriage when they think they can lock down the Chads they're fucking, to panicking and trying to grab anything they can, to acting like being single and useless was their goal the entire time and emphasizing their doctorate and business in order to not come off as useless for being close to 40 and single.

People only tell them they're jealous about their singleness to make them feel good, or women who are bored and think they'll relive their 20s if they were single.

I can't consider switching careers or opening up my business when ^{I am single} because I can't rely on a partner's income (or insurance) to support me while I get it up and running.

That's the difference between men and women, for men, switching careers or starting new businesses while single is easier to do, not harder as those single men are not burdened with having to support a 'partner' while doing those things.

What she really means when she writes about her wanting a partner to contribute, is someone to contribute to her life, not both people contributing and benefiting equally. She has nothing of value and any man with half a brain knows it.

Her insight into her friends' lives is interesting. They spin her the yarn about single women being happier but none of her friends wants to be single. She sees the hypocrisy but she fails to understand it.

I’m 29(F) and the only remaining slut of my friends. But being single certainly has limitations, and not just because I don't have anyone to give me non-sexual human connection or hear my soul-sucking work gossip all day every day until he dies. I don't have anyone to do the chores when I'm tired, which is all the time. I don't have anyone to pay my bills, I don't have anyone to drive me home from the hospital when I have surgery, I’m a hypochondriac and will be a medical financial drain. I can't consider quitting my job at a whim because I’m bored or joining a Herbalife pyramid scheme because I can't rely on a man’s money (or insurance) to bankroll me as I fail again and again and blame the man for not supporting me enough. When couples talk about how hard it is to save up for a down payment on a home, I certainly understand, but then I start to get a "woe is me" attitude about it because it’s twice as hard to save the same amount on a single income, I mean two people working together can achieve more than a single person? Such patriarchal oppression! I think how much easier I could achieve my professional and financial goals of having a man bankroll me if I had a man to bankroll me. I basically want a man to be my perception of how a wife would be, a house slave, and also be the CEO of the universe.

I’ve also felt jealous, envious and hateful lately, because my only single friends have found love (quickly) on my strategies, while I haven't. For example, my friend who has been unsure of dating apps decides to give it a go and BAM! Her first pump and dump is a total catch. I'm happy for her...but then I look at my list of terrible pumps and dumps and can't help but feel sorry for myself. Not just because she found success and I haven't, but because I don't even have a single friend to talk about being single with anymore. I cannot talk about anything other than myself and my “so called friends” are so selfish for not focusing on me. I know that's silly and selfish, but who cares. They should be single like me. Then there's my other friend who said “because of your advice I was able to meet the most wonderful man." I wasn't even aware I was giving her advice, I just shared a "rule of thumb” standard I tried to set for myself in D-sampling (which hasn't yielded results for me). And suddenly she’s able to find Mr. Hawt? She even said “I hope you find someone as wonderful as my boyfriend.” It’s like they watch me and do the opposite and BAM they have success! Don’t they understand that they are being oppressed?

Sometimes I try to express to coupled friends how choosing to be slut can be draining. How they can always choose to go for a walk without their partner, watch tv in a separate room, take a weekend away with themselves or the girls, and always return to their person - but I have no choice other than all the choices that I make all the time, Tingles all the way. They can switch between company and solitude - I can't (Pumps and dumps don’t count). You can take alone time from your partner. You can't take alone time from yourself and that is my biggest problem, I’m stuck with myself and it's men's fault.

Some of the responses I get are: "I miss those days.” "You should make the most of those days before they're gone forever!” "You just have to learn to enjoy your own company.” “Don't worry - one day you'll find your (insert name of their significant other).” Or my personal favorite "Research shows that the happiest people are single women.

I’m really an angry and bitter person, but admitting this makes me feel bad, so I won’t, I’m amazing. I am happy that my friends have loving relationships and I appreciate my friends trying to help and encourage me. But sometimes their advice just makes me feel more alone, because I realize how out of touch, they are with my slut lifestyle and how unrelatable my place in the club bathroom is to theirs. It makes me feel isolated amongst friends in a world where the happiest sluts in the universe feel left out.

So, feel bad for me and be hawt and rich and approach me and I’ll find fault with you and remain a slut, but I’ll let you hit it!

TL;DR Singles – I'm a happy unhappy slut and my friends should be sluts like me and men are wrong!

What kind of nonsense is this, "You cannot take alone time from yourself." Perhaps it is a poor way to convey the idea that she hates being alone, but the purpose of alone time is to catch up on things you otherwise don't do with your partner or to have some solitude to think and relax. It is pointless to care about that when you already can do that always when you are single.

She simply does not like the fact that she is single when others around her have shown that it is possible to find relationships. You are not necessarily guilty of doimg wrong if you do not have a relationship, but you need to evaluate if you are approaching how you try and find a relationship if you are failing and others are succeeding.
