Completely stopped watching porn about 4 months now and my dating life has gotten EXPONENTIALLY better.

I remember the last time I watched and got excited by porn, and in the back of my mind I kept saying “I did absolutely nothing to deserve this” aka being able to see a beautiful woman naked and coming.

Since then I’ve naturally been talking to way more women, because that’s the only way that I can fulfill that desire. I have had so much more success dating because of it. It’s almost as if I’m living a completely different life. Right now I’m dating the girl of my dreams (although things may not work out for reasons beyond our control).

Dating life has been a lot healthier as well. I 10/10 recommend quitting porn.

Porn is generally harmful because it tricks your brain into thinking you have an amazing sex life and don't need to try in dating and life in general. Also it desensitizes you to sex experiences and makes you more stimulated by watching sex than doing it. It also gives you a false sense of what sex is, rather than what women actually like.

If you are going to watch porn I suggest limiting it to once or twice per week on average. And if you really feel the urge, you can always just jerk off without porn. But men even do that in a too rough way that desensitizes them to a real sexual experience.

My body count is 61 and most of my partners have been relatively beautiful women, and no I don’t watch porn. By choice though not because I have sex so much. Infact i regard myself as someone who doesn’t even necessarily need sex to function. Sure there’s times when I’m more after it than others but I’ve never felt or been desperate for it. The reason I don’t watch porn is for mental health mainly, setting up unrealistic expectations and unhealthy behaviour/habits from excessive porn. I also find by not watching porn I enjoy having sex a lot more, feels more natural, more realistic and also the absence of porn allows for healthy amount of anticipation. I’m not some mad panty dropper either, I’m like a 7.5 (8 on a weekend) but yes stoping watching porn has helped me meet nicer woman with better outcomes.

In my personal experience the more you have causal sex, the more you chase that sexual hunger via porn. In 2020-2021, I was very promiscuous and had sex with about 15 girls, even had them scheduled on alternating nights. Back then, I thought I was “living like a king” but in hindsight it just left me empty and now it’s just kinda sad to look back on. Because of this high frequency of hooking up, I always wanted to chase that release and sexual hunger, even if I didn’t have a girl around...which meant that I turned to porn. They go hand in hand and are both very dangerous.
