Eek this is oddly similar to a situation I recently ran into from the opposite end. So I had a brief FWB relationship w/ a guy who told me he wasn’t ready for a relationship, which I was fine with. He then made new friends and sort of forgot about me as he had to focus on himself, however he very poorly communicated the shift and gave off the impression he just didn’t want to spend time with me. Since I’m not the overly attached type, I made my own plans and ended up hooking up with another guy to get my mind off it. After doing so I realized I had a desire for something more with the first guy, as I felt something was missing that wasn’t just sex. I told him as such and he claimed he had actually wanted a relationship or whatever and now I’ve fucked it up by going and doing that.

So yeah, you may not have realized it but this girl could have been pining for you all along. She likely hooked up with another guy to take her mind off you and the experience reinforced her desire to pursue you.

I’ve just had a girl (who I’ve been flirting with) shyly confess to me that she slept with a guy this week but was thinking about me during her sex. She said she doesn’t like him in that way and it was causal.

This girl could have simply made moves on you and dropped the other guy once she realized she was interested in you.

Instead, she overshared. Which then led to her having to explain that she doesn't really like him even though she just swapped bodily fluids with him.

All of which can be awkward. Which could mean:

She is either a bit socially awkward and doesn't think things through or realize how things work. Like it just excited her to tell you this, so she did it without thinking about what the effect might be.
Or she made the decision to traverse this awkwardness deliberately because she wants to make sure you're not emotionally invested.
