Fellow sedditors,

I learned something very valuable today about confidence and insecurity. I was talking to a friend of mine and we were talking about this buff guy we both know who is a bit insecure and introvert(not the usual type you'd expect from a guy this big) and I told him how I am an introvert person as well.

He looked at me kind of surprised and I explained how I liked my alone time and am not naturally an outgoing and super energetic person. I ALSO told him how I am insecure from time to time and he looked at me with an even more astonished face and responded to me: "You? Insecure?" And he told me he doesn't think of me as an introvert/insecure person.

I always thought that my insecurity and introvert personality would show to the people around me and they would all 'sense' it. This can be true of course, however most of your insecurities are all in your head. You keep thinking about it and tinkering and getting anxious about things, but most people won't see that on such a level that you see it.

Edit: Thanks for the gold, kind stranger:)
