To be honest, yes it usually matters to an extent. And often it's a dealbreaker if you're very short or shorter than her. But if you compensate in other areas and don't show any insecurities, there are definitely lots of women who will look past it. Other women won't, but that's fine -- everyone has their preferences.

Also being really tall doesn't make you automatically a chick magnet. I'm pretty average height (5'10") and sometimes go out with my 6'4" friend, and I usually end up more successful than him because I'm funnier and a bit cuter 😁

This weekend I saw a guy who was probably 5’5 approach a group of 6 girls by himself (many of them were stunningly gorgeous). He stayed with them for at least 10-15 mins and had them laughing ect. He left with the hottest girl’s #. This guy was shorter than all 6 girls but didnt let that stop him.

It matters a lot actually. I don't even bother with women that are taller them me (even if she is taller cause of heels), your chances are a lot slimmer with a women taller than you.

Don’t worry about if a girl likes you. Just approach and find out what she’s like and if she’d be good for you.

If she immediately shuts you down, over your height or whatever, the answer is no and now you know to move on to the next one.

My girlfriend told me she would never ever dated someone who was shorter than her. Until she meet me. Because I was open emotionally, caring, sweet, attentive, and loving. I gave her what no one else could. And she loves me more of it. It makes me unique. Also I should state I have a very cute face. I'm 26 but I look like I'm 18. That possibly made up for the inches in height. But I'd like to think it's cause I offered more than just my looks.

How old are you? I find that height matters to younger girls more than mature older women.

Pump the weights, and get jacked. Those girls will look right past the height of they see you can throw them around easily.

It matters to a degree, but what actually matters is how you act.

Two of my friends are exactly the same height; one hunches slightly and doubts his confidence, thus seems short; the second is so relaxed and doesn't give a shit how much taller anyone else is, we actually thought he was ~6ft until this topic came up in conversation (he's more like 5'8", same height as the rest of us).

Yes, but it's also about their perception of your physical self. And that can be changed. You can do simple things like fixing your posture, wearing a hairstyle that stands up, showing your legs (as in don't have a shirt or jacket cover them; show their full length to look taller).

My problem is that I am funny and shit and I had more than one girl explicitly tell me that they are having an amazing time while with me, and how I am the perfect 10/10 man in terms of character, lifestyle, etc, however they would not consider me to be their boyfriend cause of my height. Which sucks to be honest. It shows that, in some cases, no matter how you hard you compensate, you will still lose cause of some freaking squiggly boiz you have no control over (DNA)

Yes it matters as there are v girls that won't date shorter gentlemen and relationships where the guy is not taller are rare. That said stuff like posture is important. Guys can seem taller by standing upright where many slump.

Height is definitely one of the things girls TEND to care about, there’s no sugarcoating that. But I say “tend to” because it is far from an absolute and I’ve seen plenty of girls who don’t mind dating guys shorter than them. I’ve also known plenty of girls who don’t care as long as you’re taller than them and if you’re 5 foot 6 in the us then you’re an inch taller than the average woman. Still, and again there’s no sugarcoating this- 5 foot 6 is considered short. But height is just one of the things on an entire list of attributes that girls consider when choosing to date someone. So I’d work on things that I can control, like working out, working hard to be successful, get to know girls better, etc.

My boyfriend is the same height as me (5’6”) and I dont mind!! But I wouldn’t really wanna date anyone shorter than me. Lets say a 5’3” guy started flirting with me, I would be nice and chat with him but I wouldn’t take him home with me. Its all just personal preference, Im sure you will find somebody thats into you no matter the height!

It doesn't matter to me. I'm 5'7". The only thing that would keep me from dating a short guy solely because of his height is if he gets self conscious or sad because I'm taller than him. I don't want to constantly feel bad for being taller than someone.
