What you do by treating it like a shit test is cause unnecessary trouble for yourself, because you put yourself in a position to be scrutinized.

You can easily put her in that position by playfully leaning into it like saying, "Maybe 😉"

And if she pushes further then you can start playfully grilling her about being insecure.

Your first problem is framing a question like “You probably go on a lot of dates” as some sort of game playing rather than a request for information, i.e., “Do you date a lot?”

It’s pretty much the same with, “Oh, is that your other girl” and “That was probably one of your other girls”.

Both can be easily answered with, “I’m curious. What makes you think that?”

The major drawback of seeing simple requests for information as a test is that the encounter is seen as something adversarial.

Why is it that a guy who says, “You don’t seem comfortable with me asking you these questions” is “calibrating” or “holding his frame” but if a woman asked the same thing, it’s a “shit test”?

The answer seems obvious.
