I liked the Tyler Durden post about shit tests where he points out that, while you should never do it, hitting the girl is one way to pass a shit test.

You've got to admire the fact that he included that, for the sake of completeness. ;)

There are generally 3 ways to pass shit tests:

Agree and amplify to absurdity, which the OP is trying to illustrate.
Ignore it outright
Change the subject

In my opinion the first is the most effective for most situations. It's also a mix of cocky funny. What's important to note is that there has to be some genuine conversation a little after to serve as comfort building after what amounts to fucking with her. That creates a sort of high level form of push-pull.

This stuff comes naturally easy if you don't take yourself too seriously. As always, the key is social calibration. If you come off as joking too much, she won't take you seriously at all. I like to answer one question truthfully for each one I deflect, or offer a genuine answer mixed in with a comment like "I have a right to have my lawyer present for this interrogation"

I gotta admit, I don't see this as a shit test. I do see this as interview questions and i'm not afraid to tell her that and tease her a bit for asking the boring questions. I've actually managed to turn asking questions into a game a couple of times where I open with. "okay fun question of the evening...blah blah blah" then when they eventualy come around with a boring question (what's your name, what do you do, how old are you, where are you from) I'll say "ooooh that sounds like an interview question, I left my resume at home but, okay I'll give you one freebie, but you're going to have to try harder" I'll follow it up with another off the wall question. "If you could take one famous person home to bang his brains out, who would it be?" If she hits me with another interview question I just laugh at her and tell her no can do, she already used up her freebie.

With one three set I pulled this on I wasn't getting a strong connection with any of them. They were all asking me dry boring questions and I wanted to eject so I said "tell you what, obviously you need some time to think one up. I'm going to the bar to get a drink, come find me if you come up with something fun to ask" a few minutes later one of the 3 comes bouncing up to me to ask me what my favorite cartoon porn is.

Agree and amplify works well.. but don't amplify too quickly. The 3.5 sexual partners is golden... Saying, "One million" would be a crappy response.

I find that deflection works best when you're on a cold approach trying to build social proof and attraction. I'm a med student and when I decide to actually tell the girl what I do the conversation usually goes something like: Q: What do you do? A: I'm actually a med student at the moment Q: Oh wow, so you want to be a doctor/Oh man, don't you guys have to dissect dead bodies?

I personally prefer the latter answer, since it's funny and it offers some conversation starters, but many girls often think I'm being dishonest about my career choice and I end up on a failure.

As several others have said use personal info to build comfort, and deflection to build attraction.

.. i dont ask how many sexual partners he's had as a shit test 0.0 i wanna kno how good it'll be (typically positive correlation between higher # of sex partners and good sex) so i dont waste my time .. do people really use shit tests?! i find this.. so shocking. i must be new to this world.. of... seddit.
