There's just no need to lie, except to be graceful in the example you give. Once you're caught your value is gone.

Most of PU is about being authenthic. That's confidence, and that's attractive.

White lies are fine. Saying that you're meant to be meeting your mate in a few minutes is much less creepy than saying that you're hanging around hoping to pick up girls.

Big lies, like saying you're a doctor when you're actually a cleaner, may work for some people. I'd rather not lie (plus I've got a cool job) but others believe that the end justifies the means.

You say that so that the other party doesn't feel trapped and you give yourself and out to leave the interaction quickly. If they reject you because your game isn't good enough. Yet.

Let me ask you a question...what do you think about girls lying when they say they have a boyfriend but don't?

Would you rather they say that although they're single, your nose is too big, you're way too awkward and you're too ugly (for example)?

I don't have a problem with little lies like 'I have to go soon etc.'.

It's the same principle. Would you rather be honest and say 'I want to set a time-limit on this interaction so that you don't feel too awkward and wonder how long I'm going to stay talking to you, so let's talk for 5 minutes only'?

I can probably say that you're making more of a big deal than it is.

I'm used to women lying all the time so I figure it's part of their strategy. Almost as much as they use lines.

I don't like it when they imply men lie or use lines a lot and they don't.

I lie all night long. One of our favorite games to play is coming up with ridiculous backstories on ourselves and seeing how many people we can convince of it. The more ridiculous the better.

Lie about my name. Lie about my age. Lie about my job. Lie about my friends. Lie about what color the boxers I'm not wearing are. Lie, lie, and lie some more.

It's like a little game.

Last weekend I told a girl my name, and 2 minutes later told her a different one, repeat until she's going around the bar asking people if they know my name. Now she's creating my own value.

I draw the line when it can impact a relationship down the line.

Example: You say you're 24 when you're really 27. Or you way you work somewhere you don't just to try to impress her. Basically, anything that is actually fake about you should be avoided. If you're gaming like this, you're compensating for lack of experience and confidence with making up lies. It will haunt you later if you're going for a relationship, or even just FWB status.

Where it's ok in my book are trivial things that don't matter, often just in the moment. IE. "Hey, I have to meet up with by friends in a bit, but you look totally interesting. Who are you?".... meanwhile, you're out solo.

depends on the lie and what it accomplishes. obvious and teasing lies are a go. big shit like about how much money you make, where you live, etc. if you don't ever plan on seeing her again then go for it. if it's someone you're planning on a relationship with then NOPE.

I draw the line at the difference between lying and deceiving. Deception is when you claim you make such and such money to raise your value in her eyes, basically getting her to believe something untrue.(shouldn't be qualifying yourself anyways, but hang with me.) lying might be saying that you design rodeo clown costumes and accessories for a living, or some other outlandish thing, clearly in jest and not to subvert the truth but for the sake of banter and lightheartedness. One of Nathaniel Branden's Six Pillars of Self-Esteem is personal integrity, if you are deceiving people and projecting a false reality at some point you will begin to lose trust in yourself, your confidence will fall incrementally and you'll have to do more and more projecting and acting to maintain a facade. All this to say, lying=fun, light hearted, humorous=good deceiving=manipulative, trickery, lacking integrity=bad

False time constant isn't a lie as much as a tactic that both sexes use; the quote for that kind of thing is "It's not lying, it is flirting." The same with banter and teasing.

You especially shouldn't lie about your identity.

I don't lie with women since there is no point--I am confident in myself.

It can be effective, but is completely unnecessary. My integrity is worth more than a lay. I just started seeing a second girl. She knows about the first one and said she doesn't share. I told her she doesn't have to, but it means she can't have me. She changed her mind later that night.

When you have inner game, which to me is the only kind that matters, you don't have to lie.

I draw the line at obvious lies like "I'm meeting someone in ten minutes." Women read those lies like a book.

Sometimes the woman has a set fantasy that she wants to fulfill, and she will drop hints and push you in that direction. Especially if it's a guaranteed short term thing, it's okay to lie in that situation.
