I've already explained this in other comments, but I'll make a main reply to the thread to reiterate.

The article makes plenty of good points- and I basically agree with everything he talks about- but the overall tone is pretty misogynistic (and beta) in terms of his view of the woman's role in the relationship. It's almost like he's saying the woman's a stubborn cat who'll simply walk away from you if you don't keep her entertained.

I agree with him that guys should lead and all that good stuff, but he seems to forget that it takes two to tango. Unless the woman has no respect for her partner, she's gonna be making an effort to maintain a healthy relationship too- it's not purely the man's job. A high-value, independent male simply isn't going to be this focused on keeping the woman happy. He's still gotta look after himself, and so does she.

And I fucking hate how women have inflated senses of entitlement, like they just fucking sit there and expect to have a man constantly entertain them, not just amuse them at the given time and place, but constantly cater to their ever-changing fickle, incredibly demanding emotional needs and constantly jump through hoops so they don't "get bored" of a person and go find someone else to amuse them.

They're like children with ADD that you have to constantly cater to and adapt to.

This is just flat out untrue. While patriarchy may be the most common form of social organization, it is not a hard and fast rule. The author seems content to just make shit up to fit his world view.

The entire first section of the article is a run on sentence. The writer could have summed up the entire first section with "men are the leaders and women are followers because of X, Y, and Z."

Keeping a woman, happy, long term is impossible. It's not even worth trying. Also, it doesn't even make sense for us.

So yes, it's interesting to know their perspective, but I don't really see the point for a man to strive to become what women want. It's a kind of jumping through hoops if you think about it. What we should strive for is to be able to get new women when the old ones fade out of "love" for us.

Most of you don't seem to understand what the article is saying, and it's got me unsettled because what he's saying is bringing together stuff that I thought was obvious.

First of all, I thought seduction was all about playing a game who's rules you can't control. Chase is describing the way the world is, not the way the world should be. At least, that's what one of the first things I learned when I got into seduction and pick up.

Secondly, everything he's describing is from the idea that alpha men are leaders and dominant. We're all here to make ourselves the best and most alpha we can become, right? Again, I thought that this was already a widely accepted maxim. I see the topic of women being indecisive all the time, and every time a woman posts, she says that she's expecting the man to make the decision and lead. So when a man leads, what is the woman doing? She's following.

Third, everything I've read about inner-game is about improving yourself partially because we're the only ones we can rely on and we can't change the world instantly to suit our physical and mental needs. When he says it's the man's fault, he's tying in the fact that we're supposed to be the leaders and the fact that we have to improve ourselves. I mean, I know that the way he typed it out sounds weird: it's the man's fault. But seriously, are you going to try and change the woman? What else are you going to work on but yourself? Are you going to sit and whine about the behaviors that society and genetics has conditioned upon women? Isn't that AFC behavior?

And fourth, as far as changing yourself goes for a woman goes...I'm not too on board with what Chase says there, but describing his approach as somehow placating women is so stupid in a meta sense. Why do you even come here? You can argue that I came her in order to placate women: I'm changing myself so that I can learn to relate myself as a man with sexual desires to a woman better.

Not to mention the number of posts that simply say they hated the article but don't go to any lengths to address what they hated. I don't know if this is quite meta (and I hate using that word twice in one post), but I think so: we're hated by the rest of reddit because we're supposedly creepy and manipulative when in fact if you actually came here with an open mind and thought about what we do, you'd realize we're simply not. In the case of this article, some of you are doing the exact same thing as the people who despise us except to one PUA.

Great article. Too bad there are people here that don't get it and think that it's about placating women. This is fundamentally about creating intense attraction for those people (and there are many here, myself included) that actually want long term relationships at some point.

Sure, if you're just going to dump a girl as soon as something goes wrong, you don't need to worry about any of this stuff. But when you do meet a fantastic girl you want to be with, you want to make sure that she wants to be with you too.

This article bored me. I didn't even finish it. As a girl, I am pissed that they lay it all on the guy to make women happy. WTF shitty advice is that? It's a relationship. You need to communicate and find ways to be happy together. And, yes, you won't always be happy together. Relationships go up and down over time. Deal. As for women being followers that is bs. This isn't the fifties. I have a career and friends outside of the rship. I am not at home every night in pearls and a dress waiting to serve my man a martini and 4 course meal.
