So I'd regard myself as a non-drinker. I often go clubbing but whenever I'm out I don't drink.

I've always told myself if I'm drinking for confidence or a change in character I should try to incorporate those desired characteristics into my own sober personality. It's worked pretty well so far, I'm a naturally introverted guy but now, after some work, I'm happy to make a complete ass of myself trying to dance in clubs or talking to strangers without feeling like I need to drink.

My problem comes in when I see a girl who's cute. I just can't think of the words to say, I feel awkward and I don't act myself. This has always fucked my game up because although I can talk and flirt quite successfully with girls I don't find that attractive I can't do the same to the girls I really want to be flirting with.

A few days ago I went on holiday and for the first time in a social situation I drank and holy-shit! Dude I was a fucking boss. I could quite effortlessly walk up to a hot girl and say what ever the fuck I wanted. I was even able troll the fuck out of them and laugh about it.

In one sense this is great, I got to talk, and make out, with some girls I found pretty cute, but on the other hand I'm still awkward as fuck whenever I'm not drinking. I'm bothered about this because I'd love to be able to do day game at some stage but it's probably not such a good idea to do day game when you've been drinking.

Can anyone relate to this or offer me some advise?

Edit: I wouldn't ever flirt with a girl if I didn't find her a little attractive (6, 7 out of 10s). It's the 8, 9, 10 out of 10s I freak the fuck out with.
