My ex-LVM once told me to stop talking about race. When I responded “it’s easy for you to say that when racism doesn’t affect you,” he got offended. I can’t stand people who only care about stuff when it affects them. It’s so selfish and low value, IMO.

Oh my god. I literally dated a guy (tall, white, fit, rich parents, basically 10/10 in outer appearance). Who spouted things like “I love capitalism,” “men are disposable - we send them to the military, most homeless are men,” “women have more options than men - 80% of women go for 20% of men!”

Like I was so confused. Why are you complaining like an incel when you are the very “Chad” type real incels hate.

Needless to say I was fucking turned off and didn’t go on another date with him.

Yep, the incel movement is directly related in the white supremacist movement and rise of nazi behaviour so it's not surprising. They will do anything to be at the "top" because they don't even consider that an option of everyone being equal exists, they think someone has to always be superior.

When you look at male entitlement, you have to analyze white male entitlement. It's so obvious how much they boast about their privilege. We have some good ones like Matt McGorry, but I cannot have intersectional discussions with them. It gets too complicated and suddenly I'm aggressive or angry🙄

As a Black (colored) person, I'm light enough that they feel comfortable saying off handed things about my hair, my hometown, my education as if I'd laugh with them. On the same note, I have yet to experience white women allies beyond this sub. The ones with a lot of internalized misogyny will join the guys to seem hotter/cooler. Don't get me started on the pseudo "woke" Facebook posts about George Floyd. All the friends I've had are Latino, Indian, Middle Eastern... It's not necessarily a conscious decision, but we all have shared experiences.

My lvm ex was the worst. He didn’t believe there was any inequality. It was the opposite, he believed that women had an easier life. He had a stay at home mom and sister and always called them lazy. And if I said anything against splitting things 50/50 he would mock me and say, “equal means equal”.

When it came to race he believed that whites had earned their position of privilege. He would say that everything of importance was invited by white men. It’s scary how common his line of thinking is among older white men.

My white BF just said this about the protests going on right now:

“If no one reaches out to me and and tells me how I can help, then I’m going to assume they don’t need or want my help and I won’t do anything.”

And that shows me how little he will ever really care about anyone who is not him. It’s disgusting and I need to get out.
