A guy on Hinge the other day asked to move to IG DMs and I told him I don't keep IG on my phone (which is true!) and he said something like "Fine, I'm getting off this stupid app. Best of luck to you."

Like wow, way to make it obvious that you were just after collecting pretty girls to follow and chat with. Byeeee.

I have snap but I lie when they ask me for it. I find it so annoying the amount of lazy ass men there are who are unable to be interesting enough to actually have a conversation without trying to force it into a sexual direction. No we’re not going to have a back and forth that ends in a series of increasingly sexual pics. That is a huge pet peeve of mine. Some people should’ve been swallowed.

Snapchat is so dumb. I had it for a while just because the filters are cool to play with, but I wasn't really using it for anything, as all my friends that I text with have my number directly anyway.

I do have an Instagram for my actual photography and art, I don't post much personal stuff on there. Guys DM me sometimes to try and strike up conversation and I don't really engage because that isn't what I use Instagram for. (Although I did get an actual business client from Instagram about two months ago, which is a plus).

I’ve never had Snapchat either, and it’s a huge red flag for me if guys ask for it. ESPECIALLY bc Im 40-ish. Like...what do you need Snapchat for old man? 🤔🙄

I used it for a couple years and eventually had to delete it because a NVM was using it to triangulate and manipulate me. Literally sucked the fun out of an app I was innocently using to share laughs with friends.

Snapchat is certainly LV and probably a NV app.

I was on a date a few years ago and the guy was confused because I don’t have FB or SC. Him: add me on FB! Me: I don’t have FB scrote: ok well how about SC? Me: don’t have that either scrote: then how are we supposed to trade pics?

His overall interest in me went away after he realized I wasn’t going to send him nudes and I’m glad I didn’t have to waste anymore of my time on him. I really don’t understand guys obsession with begging for nudes

When I began my individual movement towards bettering and respecting myself the first thing I did was delete Snapchat. Men have literally weaponized this app it’s breadcrumb fucking central. It’s the sweet little toxic spot they keep you to keep in contact with you but not actually acknowledge you as a person. They can and will often send you messages that appear like they are sending it to a bunch of people when really they are most likely just sending it to you but making sure you don’t feel like you’re that important to receive a direct message.

THIS APP SUCKS.

So many men have been confused when I say I don't have nudes, will not take them & that they don't exist. Hacks, leaks, the internet in general, make it so I can't have those pics out there, ever.

Yep! I won’t download an app to speak to someone. No snap, no kik, no WhatsApp. I won’t give them my IG or FB. You don’t need to see my social media. You don’t need to DM me. You can wait until I am ready to give you my phone number, period.

I deleted Snapchat 9 months ago and haven’t looked back 🙌 best decision I’ve made. I also deleted the Instagram app of my phone and i don’t feel as pressured to go on my phone unless I need to.
