It makes me so happy to hear about women, especially younger women, finally feeling safe/confident etc, enough to not engage with this type of bullshit.The sad part is that we still have to worry about men getting so angry with any kind of rejection. Hats off to this lady for her very appropriate response. Even at 34, I still struggle with being able to reject inappropriate advances because of social conditioning and experiences with men who get frighteningly angry. I've noticed although it doesn't always work (sometimes it makes them even more angry) the best thing for me to do is literally to ignore or pretend not to hear them. This is obviously not something you can do in customer service, which makes things even harder for women working in customer service professions.

Omfg this literally happened to my brother and his best friend recently during a night out. Not only was dude with his husband, both pushing edit:50!!, going on and on about their money and their boat trying to lure the 20 year old onto their houseboat which they kept calling a yacht…bragging about the price of their(shared) jacket and said they had 1 mil. In the bank…Nobody with money does that AND if we see that you have a “boat” and run a foreign car parts manufacturing business and have several cars, and a condo…then 1.mil in assets and no cash or 1 mil in cash total not including those assets still shows us you either aren’t good with money or LYING!

the friend group was not about to let the prey go over alone and since they were hyping it up so much they oversold the boat and cash situation and basically made it seem like an open invite to their prey’s entire friend group after the bar closed and then in the crowded Uber over to the docks they spent the entire time talking about how their dogs had the runs from being seasick but they couldn’t find “land”(from Annapolis to Baltimore!!!) to take them for a walk or to get their bearings.

They kept talking about how the dogs were shitting just everywhere to try to get the female friends and my brother to be so disgusted that they wouldn’t actually get on the boat. They DID NOT WALK THE DOGS WHEN THEY GOT TO THE BOAT…AND THEY WERE STILL SICK, and WERENT CLEANING IT UP BECAUSE THEY WANTED THEIR VICTIM ALL TO THEIRSELVES. They said not everyone can have a cigar because they are $12 each. My brother was like we are in our early 20’s so we don’t want your nasty fucking cigar and your nasty attitude and what the hell are you even celebrating exactly?! They showed up at last call at the bar and chose the youngest twink in the room and also literally had another kid they were messing with but ABANDONED AT THE BAR FOR MY BROTHERS FRIEND AND HIS FRIENDS. At the boat, they wouldn’t stop the SICK dogs from jumping on on of the women specifically to make them even more uncomfortable…The two female friends went into the bathroom to post a story about how sick these dudes were and while they were in there one says to my brother: hope they don’t flush a tampon and ruin our tank…😮‍💨🥴well it’s a good thing it’s not a yacht, and is never professionally serviced, let alone LIQUID DOG SHIT SLOSHING AROUND. LITERAL POOP DECK. And they were letting the dogs all up on the bed they were gonna have a threesome w…after they were sick multiple times, down south, common sense tells you since they are literally abusing and neglecting their animals over 20 yr old hole, they’re poor dogs are gonna shit again, perhaps on the bed this time. Holy shit…this story deserves its own post eventually…bonus: their business had horrible reviews calling them irresponsible, immature, and unprofessional
