Whenever a woman has a critique or complaint about men, no matter how legitimate, reasonable, or even statistically supported, men (and pickmeishas) are quick to respond with this phrase. Other variations can be:

"The common Denominator is you" "You are who you attract" 🤡

I'm so sick of hearing this and it's a bunch of BS when used in this context. Here's why:

Of course "NOT ALL MEN" are trash..but these people are in denial when they refuse to acknowledge such a large percentage of men are and that it's a widespread cultural, if not global, issue. I studied sociology & people, but anyone who pays close attention can pick up on patterns and trends.

When women say or imply that men are trash we aren't just talking about the ones we've dated or "chosen". We are referring to the ones we've seen our sisters date and wiped our friends tears over. The ones who harrass us on the street and make us feel uneasy. The ones who contact us on apps, and also having to swipe past trashy photos or disrespectful/redpill type bios. The ones in a bar who won't stop groping you and can't take no for an answer. The senior citizen men who have made creepy comments about our bodies since we were 13. The men who sit by and don't protect you when another man is putting you in danger.

We have a life outside of dating and relationships. We know other women. Some women have volunteered or worked in social services or domestic violence shelters. Not to mention some have abusive fathers or male family members who we definitely didn't choose to be born to or around.

It's nearly impossible to avoid LVM and "trash" men in life altogether...EVEN IF YOU HAVE NEVER DATED ONE. This is why that argument is disingenuous because they leave out a big part of why we say this. It's another dismissive way for people to just write you off as "bitter" and mad because you "can't get a man". Side note: even women who are bitter usually have a right to be, and any woman can get a man if they just want anyone. It's not hard. A quality man is a bit more of a challenge to come across.

Plus if men who are "trash" are the majority of what's out there then we don't really have a lot of other options to choose from...once again it's disingenuous to act like women have soooo many wonderful options to choose from and we're consistently overlooking them for jerks, "bad boys", and players.

**Also a lot of people who respond with this act like just because a man doesn't hit you or call you names, that exempts him from being trash. Negative. Sooo many low value men fly under the radar to mainstream society and I feel only FDS and a few others acknowledge that...though more women seem to be waking up.

Yes women should have some responsibility regarding who they choose to entertain, and not allowing men to waste our time. HOWEVER, A lot of us are not even choosing these men (or if we have in the past, we are not anymore), they're just there. Almost everywhere. It is a widespread issue that so many men have been conditioned to be trash whether he's an obvious f*ckboy or a more cunning manipulator, a "nice guy" or just a plain LVM.

And women who say the only solution is for other women to simply choose better are either pick mes, extremely sheltered, or in denial. Even if I find the most high value man in the world I would still be willing to acknowledge the amount of garbage men who are out here. Some people refuse to see past their own experiences or just want to turn a blind eye.

I rest my case. Thank you for reading.
