Without going into "trp" specifically, I'd say that certain trends are going to contribute to pushing men towards communities such as pua, mgtow, trp, etc. Here are my own predictions.

1) Globalization

Ease of travel between countries. Clash of cultures. It helps to have standardized heuristic approaches to human relationships.

2) Transportation / modularity

Supporting globalization is the ease of transportation. It's convenient for parents who will have easier time than ever moving around and adapting to a new environment. It's not as convenient for their children, and their attachment to peers will develop differently from past generations.

3) Work culture

People are becoming busier. They don't have time for recreation, so hollywood "meet cute" scenarios in places where people aren't rushing to and from work are going to be less common. People will have to rely on planned events or online dating, specifically for the purpose of finding romance.

A lot more people are going to be caring about scripted encounters (i.e. pua).

(On the opposite end are people who are on average going to be less busy as they are out of work or reduced to part-time work. But they'll be saddled with their own problems.)

Speaking of online dating...

4) The Growth of Online Dating

It's just accelerating. Just several years ago, there was stigma attached to it. ("lol, you needed to go online to find a bf/gf?). Society is adapting to it.

The fact that we have so many niche dating sites at first glance might seem like it would help with closer matches, but they'll strikingly highlight gender inequality. People are going to gain intuitive understanding of many rp concepts like SMP/SMV, and they don't have to explicitly know or associate it with trp.

On one data analytics site for dating sites, I found that the sites with highest male-to-female ratios tend to be minority dating sites.

The ones with highest female-to-male ratios tend to have older demographic and hobbies that are expensive and cater to stereotypically female fantasies. A perfect example are sites that cater to equestrian dating scene (I don't mean bronies, where the stats AFAIK are reversed):

But for most of us, with the exception of the farrier and feed delivery guy, the male to female ratio isn’t exactly in our favor.

IIRC, equestriandating.com or some other related site had the highest gender imbalance in favour of men, though I'm having trouble finding the stats again.

Aside from gender population sizes and their effect on SMV, online daters rely on filters so that they don't have to sort through 10,000+ results.

It's simply a matter of convenience, and ironically given that it's so hard to fully describe people, we rely on objective filters such as height, income, education, race/ethicity, languages, a few keywords to search for in self-description, etc. It's all very superficial, but convenient nevertheless. Even for people who don't like to think of themselves as superficial, and as guilty as they may feel about it, pragmatism will win out in the end.

There are so many more reasons why people will have a much more mechanical approach to romantic relationships. I think it's fine, because it's effective and is going to be many peoples' few options.

I think the red pill is just getting started. From what I know of the mod team of red pill, and my own observations, we're intending for something quite different than you might think. And no, the present iteration of TRP is not it.

We're playing the long game.

To understand what I mean by that, a little bit of a background on what TRP is, is required.

The red pill started early 2013 as an experiment, hitting its first 1000 in mid Jan of that year. At that time, the manosphere was something you might not have heard of. Well, today, you have. Or well, at least, you've heard of a gateway drug to it; /r/theredpill. But back then, there was a difference.

See, the manosphere back then was confined to a bunch of very obscure, very controversial and very unwelcoming blogs, forums and other websites. Stuff that had changed the lives of many people, sure, but stuff you typically didn't see unless you specifically searched for it.

And we were perfectly content with that.

We weren't activists, we didn't want attention. The only thing we could possibly gain by more attention that we wanted was more free-thinkers. But that is usually accompanied by an large influx of a poor imitation. i.e. popularity means signal to noise ratio drops dramatically.

So, when I say, the RP was an experiment, I'm being generous with the term, sure, But I am describing how it is the first manosphere forum to make its debut somewhere really mainstream: right smack dab in the middle of a place where you lot could see it. And believe me, I mean it, if you wera normal everyday BPer, and you've heard of a manosphere site... than that is usually more mainstream than anyone but the author of it would prefer. And even then not all authors are matt forneys. Many don't even want your money if it comes attached with your presence. So /r/theredpill was a huge break from that. The manosphere alternative to /r/seduction was born. Uniquely open to all comers.

But still, at its heart, it remained just another discussion forum. The equivalent of say, /r/battlefield3 to the arenas within the game. With all the rules and standards that entails.

But something didn't go as expected. We weren't just not marginal. Suddenly we were popular. Suddenly, EVERYONE and their grandmother was absolutely bonkers about us. Nobody liked us, given. But nobody could shut up about us either. An unbelievably immense marketing wave for us came from... you guys. And we went viral. And so, to reflect the change, the focus of the sub de-facto shifted away from matured discussion between experienced RPers, and became a sort of incubation chamber. Basically, we do our thing, but people curious about us find a relatively welcoming environment in which they're provided with a good chance of coming up to speed. As well as this, these people are free to go through all the motions of being new.

But again, the problem of signal to noise ratio remained. So I'll explain that next. /u/oxymuncha is a PPer here who independently made a bunch of observations about red pill's pretty open secrets by now; we're filtering you. We're applying RP doctrines(such as the 48 rules of power) to make sure the type of audience we get is of a certain type and quality. Examples of this abound;

-TRP maintains a harsh tone of the kind that often makes people wince(and we err on the side of directness and harshness even when an alternative is viable)

-TRP's side-bar(our introduction reading list, which you can apparently literally fail) contains material intended to make you leave or out yourself for easy banning(I'll give you a hint about which: one of the links in the sidebar is unlike the others. They're all re-directs so we can also tell you that one of them is clicked far, far, far and away the most. In fact, it might've been the first one you clicked. That one is doing the filtering),

-there are periodic banhammer events, where ostensibly, test material is posted and you're banned on the basis of your inability to discuss it rationally(no matter how terrible it is.)

-and we maintain strict(but characteristically red) standards of discourse and ban people who violate it. And people who violate are usually provoked into doing so by the measures mentioned earlier.

And more.

Through these, TRP picks its substrate. And provides the environment for it to turn into something else. You might have heard about something called "stages of red pill". Well, we're not making it up. For better or for worse, we believe it. This is a repeated and observed pattern of adoption that people in the manosphere usually go through. And has existed for years. So bitterness is a stage of accepting harsh truth for many who come onto redpill. And these people are provided a safe haven for it, under the assumption that it will pass.

The rules against concern trolling come in here: We know what we're doing, and why we're allowing it. The mods have no reason to put in hours running that sub for free. The ECs don't gain anything from discussion there or for producing material for it. No offence, but they really have hardly anything to learn from that crowd. As cheesy as I'm sure you'll find it; they do it out of compassion.

Because... frankly we've been on or seen their end of the stick first hand. TRP exists as a resource for men who want to be helped, to be helped. Men like micheal and our reformed incel on the sidebar.

And those stages of the red pill are going to take their course. So right now, the vast majority of the red pill is less than one year old. Hardly any time to institute a massive change in lifestyle and success... but we're getting there.

The rest of the reddit, and press who've focused on TRP so far have solid claims about the bitterness and misogyny there. But our expecation IS that this criticism is destined to change. The anger phase doesn't last forever. And we're confident in our ability to produce results.

Come 2015(or hell, however long it takes, we're in no hurry). When the red pill's majority population matures into the half that has moved past needing it as an massive therapy session, I think TRP will take the conversation on sex and gender dynamics in a way you've not seen before. I think then it will truly become a mature voice to be reckoned with.

This cycle of growth will continue so long as Men Are Not Happy.

Most of the stuff on TRP is the exact same stuff thats been around since PUA and the early 2000s.

The big difference now is that there are girls on the internet, so stuff like Jezebel has a sizable demographic meaning more internet feminists meaning more aggressive internet anti-feminists.

I suspect that the growth will slow down considerably in the next year or so. Like feminism, I consider it's growth to be better judged by how its ideas are incorporated into the mainstream, rather then how many people may call themselves RP or feminist.

Not a whole not of people call themselves feminist or even respect them, yet many of its ideas and goals regarding women or women's issues have successfully infiltrated the mainstream and are not considered feminist ideas anymore.

Take for example a thread on /r/AskMen[1] yesterday. Someone asked if dating really does get easier at age 30 for men. Normally any comment pointing out that it's with women looking to settle down or with women who wouldn't have given them the time or day a couple years ago before they started their career, would have either been downvoted or gotten a few points and generally ignored (depending on how it's worded).

The general consensus would have simply been that it does get better and to just wait till 30 and date then. That's still the top comment, but the comment pointing out it's with girls who ignored you or are looking for a LTR is right under it and has as many upvoted points as the original comment.

There are very good things about feminism. There are also some, along with quite a number of women who call themselves feminists, that aren't so great. A lot of men have had it. You guys should consider the possibility that some of that reaction is justified, because it is.

Maybe. Starting with teenage years sexism really bothered me, I would have identified as a hardcore feminist and things like women's standing in society, sexist stereotypes, women's portrayal in media were big deals to me.

I still care very much about the media stuff, but it's not as much a "moral" issue for me but more of an issue of me wanting entertainment I enjoy. (Though I would still say that young girls should have good female role models in the media, so the moral issue is there too.)

I would have said sexist stereotypes don't bother me as much, but then when I read TRP and see them compare women to children, say women are illogical and all that it does bother me.

I still identify as a feminist, but I have to say that to the extent I know what modern feminists are about, I don't particularly care for it. I'm not interested in gay/transgender issues (though I think gays should be able to marry and they shouldn't be treated badly by society), I think men and women are different on average (though there is generally a lot of overlap on specific traits and I think people should be treated as individuals), I don't care very much for political correctness. Stuff like "slut walks" I don't particularly care for either.

Makes me wonder to what extent feminism these days is dominated by lesbians. Lesbians have different priorities than straight women. Whereas straight women might want masculine men, might enjoy the providing/protection men provide, lesbians can't really relate.

I don't know how big TRP will get, possibly big if they end up being the main movement promoting masculinity. It would be nice if there was a pro-masculinity thing without all the misogyny of TRP. How about some strong masculine men doing manly things without hating on women, but instead wanting to take care of us, protect us etc.? Red pillers are against feminism, but they're against being providers/protectors as well, and there's a lot of genuine women hating there.

Maybe if red pill gets big, feminism will shape up and focus on misogyny/sexism rather than gay/trans issues or whatever.

The growth of Red Pill is attributional to one thing and one thing only. The wit and sheer sexiness of GayLubeOil the Siberian Alpha. I love the red pill for the man up, its not them its you mentality, but i absolutely loath the woman hating that goes on. I hate the idea that they make woman cry and sleep around. I love the confidence they give to men.

TRP will continue to exist because TRP is a solution to the problem that is the feminized society.

The subreddit may not last, it may one day be deleted the subreddit may suffer an influx of casuals that one day may change the subreddit beyond recognition. But TRP will live on, in the hearts and minds of young men everywhere who through the medication, the indoctrination, and the subjugation will see that this utopia is false, that their society is not looking after their best interests, that they are being fed lies.

And someone will tell the truth, that this feminist empress is wearing no clothes, and people will listen.

Nothing is new, every now and then a leader or a movement gets killed or imprisoned, and people forget their teachings..... only for it to resurface years or centuries later. I'm not worried about TRP principles, they will prevail..... it's the intermediate time between now and then that's going to really fuck us over. :P

Elliot Rodger was not a red piller.

Elliot rodger was ANTI-pua. As in PUA-HATE. He visited a site called puahate.com where they actively HATED ON PUA AS A WHOLE. Elliot rodger was an omega bluepill with real mental issues who ended up snapping because he had to sit in the corner with his blue balls for too long. Note that this is not what successful red pill members do.

Elliott hated the "muscular brutes" that go to parties and get all the women despite treating them worse than him. TRP doesn't teach you to hate those people, TRP teaches you how to BECOME those people.

Elliott Rodger and TRP are the polar opposite ends of the spectrum. If Elliott was an avid reader of TRP, he wouldn't have done what he did because he would have found out why the fuck he was such a loser and what he was doing wrong.

If TRP gets too popular I fear that there will be too much competition though. I'd like it to stay below 100k forever because if it actually gets huge we will have too many dudes competing to be the top dog and it will be much harder to do pickup.

In the long run, the growth will level off when people are finding that redpill advice is not working for them.

This could happen if red pill attitudes become common place and blue pill ideas are more successful. (eg. if 20% of attractive women like BPillers and 80% like RPillers, being RP will be more successful now. But if 95% of men were RP, BP guys might be more successful).

It could also happen if women were widely recognizing RP behavior and rejecting such men. This is unlikely unless society dramatically shifts.

There is a sort of natural demographic ratio for males, the 80/20 beta-to-alpha split that the Pill describes.

Even if every woman went on Facebook tomorrow to admit the truth about themselves, their desires and their behaviour, the mangina majority would continue to treat them as the Goddess-Queens of Beauty and Love that the betas want them to be.
