Male devotion to duty, honor, integrity, and self sacrifice make predatory women salivate in the same way skimpy clothes make male predators salivate over women.

Those traits are good and worth having regardless of who salivates over what. It's worth being a good man.

You just also have to be a wary and perceptive man, which I agree society does a bad job of with regard to women. "Women can do no wrong, women are inherently nice and deserving of protecting from big bad males, happy wife happy life" is a common strain of thought running through the MSM, sociology, feminism, social justice, higher education, etc.

Men should maybe be taught about the perils of gold diggers, divorce rape and the ole dead bedroom libido switcheroo. But still, at the end of the day, it's worth it to be a good, honorable, virtuous, honest man.

Never relinquish your core values to the enemy, that's as good as conceding defeat.

Many RP men think like this because their mothers had far too much influence on their upbringing, and their fathers had far too little. Mothers actively try to instill beta values in their sons, because that is what they think makes men impressive and successful. The fact that, in reality, they themselves would not find a man with such values attractive is lost on them. However, I think the influence of the father generally tempers this, or at least reconstructs the negative beta traits instilled by the mother into positive beta traits.

My father did have an influence on my upbringing, so even though i ended up as a beta, I was also given the 'tools' to 'protect' myself from 'predatory women.'

But it is true that some parents, most cultures and most religions attempt to instill beta values in their sons. I think this is a relic of the past. In a fiercely patriarchal world, these values were positive. They ensured stability for society and protection of women. In return, patriarchies carefully constructed society in order to reward men with these values. So it made sense for the culture and religion of a nation to promote beta values. But, in the west, that was all thrown out the window in the 1960s. In the east this system still exists to some extent, and that's one reason why you see most Indian and Asian men come to the west and fail in the sexual market place. The SMP here has not been specifically constructed to be more advantageous for betas, and so these men fall down to their natural, low SMVs.

I don't think so. Predatory women look for guys who don't know how to say "no" and offer too much with very little in return. Having honor, integrity and self-sacrifice (when needed) doesn't make you an exploitation blank.

women aren't asking for it; that is a terrible comparison and you should remove it. but that aside, any person's dedication to those things will catch the attention of predatory people if followed to an extreme. neither the victim nor predator role there would be gendered.

on top of that, even with a stronger adherence to those virtues (not extreme), i don't believe that anyone's just encouraging those men to obey or sacrifice blindly. even in cultures where that is the norm, i'm sure that they're warned not to get taken advantage of (because crappy/predatory people are everywhere). it's not a subject i've discussed at length with friends in such cultures, but they aren't idiots or in shambles, so, probably prepared with/exercising the same good common-sense caution that most everyone has.

i also don't think most women are "out to get" guys like this, so using it to demonstrate some sort of importance or need for TRP is dumb.

The world is full of alphas/users/sociopaths and betas/good boys/empaths/aristotelian virtues.

If the world was entirely sociopaths, society would collapse. But it's better to be one than to be aristotelian.

The only challenge I can make to all this is that you're presenting this as if it is still happening. That men are being sent out signaling devotion to duty, honor, integrity, and self sacrifice, with predatory women taking advantage of them and fucking them over.

That USED TO BE true. It isn't any more. Men aren't being trained with any sense of duty, honor or integrity. They are being sent out the door with nothing - nothing at all. Before, at least they had some semblance of male identity. They have absolutely none at all now - not even beta traits like the one you list.

They used to be sent out with at least those "weapons". Men are now being thrown to the wolves and left for dead, to fend for themselves.

Did I just hop into a time machine? Who in Western civilisation in 2017 still thinks like this? All of what you just wrote here is completely 100% alien to me.

Absolutely every man I know holds doors open for men and women as simple manners, eyes up loose women, swears, distrusts authority at best, doesn't give a shit about "their family's honour", and well okay they do tend to make an effort getting tasks done if they're successful, that's the only bit I get.

And even if you think it's just certain boys who get walked over because of their devotion to certain values, I'd argue that it's more their shyness and naivety that makes them an easy target and not their values.

I think of boys sent to adulthood with "BP" values as troops sent in Vietnam to free the local population from oppression without being told that the local population will secretly help the oppressor. (It's not the best example, I believe USA shouldn't have gone to Vietnam at all, don't overextend the analogy).

A better education would give them the means to stand for their values more efficiently, choose their fights more wisely.

Those are things that women do too. They are things that all humans do.

Why do you equate men being decent humans to women wearing revealing clothes? It makes no sense!
