Women in rich western countries have the best selection of men in the world. The men in rich countries have the highest average incomes in the world. There's a lot more millionaires per capita in NYC or London than there are in Kabul or Bangui.

If women want nice guy male feminists, we have lots of those after decades of indoctrination. But if they want badboys, thugs, abusive assholes, confident dark triad sociopaths, we have tons of those too.

While I absolutely believe that 90-95% of the men who are interested in you (and women who find themselves in similar circumstances) are like this, I hope you realize that this is only a segment of young men. There are plenty of 20 something dudes with goals, hygiene, and health, who live lives of moderation and would love nothing more than to find a partner, get married and start a family. Are they perfect? Of course not, but they are far from undateable and make good partners once they find the right woman.

Why are you and your peers only able to attract such a low level of man, right out of the box? A man who holds such little regard for you or himself that he presents himself so horribly with such an aimless existence?

I wish I had an answer for you, but that would be the question I was asking if I was in your position.

Well, if you put such list then you are right, but a similar list can be made for women and most of them would also turn out to be undateable.

I guess the problem is if there is basically no equal reward for trying to become the Mr. Perfect then why bother? Why try to stay clean, limit your temptations, force yourself to improve if the partner you will get had no intention to put in the same effort and won't even appreciate what you did? You may not like Peterson, but he explained quite well the problem of men failing the list above - there is basically no incentive to meet the criteria of this list.

You often hear the 80/20 rule tossed around on this sub as the explanation, and yeah that statistic works for online dating because most online dating takes away any form of personality or body language. It's mostly looks driven because that's the focal point: your pictures. In-life dating has little correlation to online dating for most people.

You pretty well described quite a few of the guys around this sub at least (especially during purge week).

There are definitely a lot of young guys who just don't put a lot of effort into either their personality or their appearance. I know this is anecdotal, but at my college at least, a good chunk of the guys all seem to have that same off-putting personality and mindset about dating/women. I think it's mostly because they want sex, and so they've gone along with whatever they think will get them the sex.

Although there are still plenty of guys out there who don't have these characteristics. They tend to be either more low key, or they go unnoticed due to lack of confidence or not being very attractive.

Confidence and insecurity exist on a number line where one is on one side while the other is on the other. Lets the define confidence as having a positive side and insecurity as having a negative side on the number line.

Confidence/insecurity is a consequence of previous successes/failures. Considering the fact that men get rejected and arent attractive to 90% of women, mens failure rate is huge and i think insecurity is an understandable consequence.

Also, a woman should be honest with her self, especially about that dress part. Is she trying to attract another man with it? Disclaimer, this necessitates that a woman has the necessary degree of introspection to be able to evaluate this.

My point being is that the dress part is most likely a power move on her end.
