I recently turned 25 and I got out of a LTR almost 2 years ago & in between that time I have dated a couple of people, but they all have turned into a big disappointment. I decided to take a break from it and focus on myself because I realized I was escaping feelings that I didn't want to face after my breakup. I have accomplished a lot during the time I decided to cut dating, so I decided to date again because I thought things were going to get better. Nope. But after being a single for a while, I reflected and have come to conclusions this was the happiest I've ever been....I have spoken to my mother about not wanting to date during my 20s because I no longer want to waste time and rather do things that will help with my growth. But living in a hispanic household, I get asked "Y el novio??" translates to "And the boyfriend???" I've gotten hurt too many times, and I just want to thrive. I want to get my masters, I want to travel, I want to know more of what I like and dislike, I want to fall in love with life. I don't like the fact that I have to worry about "Omg is he cheating on me?" "When is he going to pick me up?" "when is he going to text me back???"

Anyone else feel this way too?
