I've always been "current" on my child support. I use quotes here because they've always taken it right out of my goddamn checks, but it's due on the 1st even though I get paid on the 15th and last day of the month, and when you factor in their "processing" times it suddenly becomes "late".

I got a second, part time job on weekends that I don't have my kids to help pay the bills.

The OAG sent withholding notices to my new job.

You think they bothered to check that I was still employed at my 9 to 5 job or to send stop notices? Nope.

BUT I caught it soon enough to resolve it. Or so I thought. I contacted the child support office and they provided me and the employer with an updated notice saying that the prior notice was sent in error.

My next check was fine. My next check was low, but I didn't think much of it because I had fewer hours. Today my check wasn't enough to cover my car payment coming out. The car payment I'm paying 13% interest on to rebuild my credit after bankruptcy so I can maybe buy a house again someday after losing mine in the divorce. After looking into it they did start making deductions!

My child support order is more than I make the entire month at my second job. There must be some limit to his much they can garnish cause I still got paid, but now I'm out over $300 which I know from previous experience with child support office "oopsies" that I'll never see that money again.

That was my Christmas present money! Now I'm fucked. I never complain about having to pay child support but I'm sick of their policies ruining my credit and fucking up my life. It's never the Child Support offices' fault. It's never the Employer's fault. But I still the up holding the bag. Why is that I'm the only person ever held accountable for anything?

I just want to spend time with my kids. Even though I've always paid up they can still pull bullshit excuses to deny me my time knowing I'm too financially fucked to fight back through the courts.

I'm sorry for ranting. I'm just so tired of it. I'm tired of always doing the right thing and taking the high road and getting slapped for it. Both my exes have since bought houses, something it's looking like will never happen for me. According to the IRS I make a ton of money. Not according to the bank.

Why does society insist on punishing me? I was not the serial adulterer who wouldn't stop even after going to therapy. Guess I had a choice of being an involuntary cuckold or this. Maybe I chose wrong.
