You are correct.

We are not averse to women's hypergamous nature because from an evolutionary point of view it is the way in which women ensure that only the best genes that men have to offer get passed down. It's the reason we are sexually dimorphic. That is why we are taller, stronger, faster, and more aggressive than women; because these are the genes and their concurrent personality traits that best ensured not just a man's survival in the wild but also insured her survival and the survival of his progeny which is what is most important.

However:

A hypergamous woman would not make us feel special. It would make us feel like chumps. Hypergamous women are not known for their loyalty so any affections coming from her a tenuous at best. No man would feel special with a woman who is only with him for the same exact reasons a prostitute would equally tolerate his lot within the purchased time. A hypergamous woman is thus a prostitute playing the long game.

Disclaimer: not my thoughts, just my analysis.

I don’t think manosphere gives women’s thoughts/agency so much entity and value.

I’ve seen those guys assume that women are acting conditioned by instincts, like a dog.

Sure you can feel happy a random dog likes you, but you know it’s because it likes human, it liked the scent of you, it liked how you patted it, etc. It’s not like the dog is making a conscious decision to like you, it just happens because it’s conditioned to happen. Dog will also like next human if he does the right things. You’re not special.

If you pay attention, TRP speaks of women like that. As such, they assume that any woman is conditioned to leave them if they can secure a more alpha male and they know there always will be one. So they’re just constantly playing around the women’s instincts to secure the “love” of their woman.

You see how it’s all seen? Woman is a kind of trophy there, an object of desire, an animal that just acts on instinct and they’re using their programming.

So I wouldn’t say that “woman chose me” works as you’re seeing it: you’re seeing it like the traditional way of thinking as in relationships who’re born in love, then it would make sense to be proud of the affection of “your” woman as she chose you over the rest, so you must be better… but to them, That’s just a consequence of her programming and there’s nothing special about it. Love is just the chemical reaction that glues human relationships that work on very specific rules.

She’s not special, you’re not special, no one is special. We’re all just programmed to work that way. They can’t see it otherwise because love, affection, etc is a non factor: women are there just to naturally select the more alpha male and men are there to climb the social hierarchy to be the alpha male, everything else is just aesthetics.

So here we go:

Healthy men neither want nor don’t want hypergamy. Healthy men don’t derive their worth from the partner they have. The quality of their Partner is usually directly correlated to the value they have on market, value/worth they have built (health, status, personality) or inherited in literal or biological sense.

Healthy Men just accept the fact that hypergamy exists just as it exists among other species.

Some men, choose not to form a relationship with “sluts” because they look at the relationship as a partnership thats should deliver incremental value emotionally (we support each other and add to the safety), financially (we build together), socially (i like spending time and do activities with that person enough that i dont need to spend time and energy looking for more and more friends as i age).
Slutting around requires time and focus. That time and focus is not being spent on creating incremental value by 2 partners mentioned above. Raising kids is not easy when one or both parents are slutting around annnnd some men prefer to invest time and money into the offspring that carry their gene pool (preservation instinct i believe its called). Or at least worry about that possibility little less. Bonus, some women don’t want to raise their kids on their own either.
Some man derive their value from their partners but that means they treat them as objects. Some men don’t want to date sluts because they don’t want a casual relationship or need a partner to be happy and the only way they can do so is to control them and their instincts. Those men are usually insecure or were brought up in unhealthy families. News flash, there’s women like that too.

Me personally, I’m too busy to be a slut and enjoy being with a partner who’s goals are aligned with mine and wants to invest as much as i do in our tiny “empire” or household vs spend time slutting.

Would i be opposed to an open relationship where casual sex is just another activity that brings us fun like skiing or hiking? Nope. But similar to skiing and hiking i wouldn’t wanna make it a big part of our lives and similar to skiing or hiking i wouldn’t want it to be disruptive to our lives and goals.

Do I believe everyone needs a commited partner to be happy? Nope. Me on the other hand, I enjoy fairly regular evening cuddles with my partner and prefer spend my energy skiing and hiking more than flirting and teasing these days.

A sick fresh line in the Rockies followed by slow sex in front a fireplace is more exciting than a drunken blow job from a newly met gal.

What Red Pill won't advertise is men, on a base level, want to see their "virgin whore" complex realized. This could well be the male version of the female dual mating strategy.

You are looking at this all wrong IMO.

It’s not about what any particular individual or group wants. It’s about understanding the true reality of intersexual dynamics, knowing what your place is within that dynamic, and using this knowledge to your benefit. Even if an individual person does not subscribe to the philosophy of hypergamy, they most likely will still be influenced by it as they are competing for partners in an environment where it is present (whether it’s desired or not doesn’t matter).

Hypergamy isn’t necessarily a good thing for men btw. As a man, if you’re not near the top (I would say upper quartile to be generous), you are not winning in the sexual marketplace. Moreover, all those women that you grew up with and wanted to date? Well they’re not looking to date you, they’re looking to date better than you (this is the definition of hypergamy no matter where you started in society). And if you manage to find a good match you’ll have to maintain or better your SMV to keep her or else she will trade up (monkey branching).

(These aren’t my opinions, just discussing some tenants of hypergamy as the poster seemed confused to me)

Well if you watch "manosphre" dudes who worth a dime (like Rollo Tomassi) talking about these things you may quickly realize that what you say is nothing new really.. Yeah hypergamy - when excercised realistically - is a good thing. If anything, there should be more not less of it.. You can't blame a woman for not wanting to do anything with a man below her level. I mean, why would she want that?

It's not that the manosphre carves for hypergamy, it's more like, it is what it is.. But of course the manosphre is not homogeneous by any measure. Some hate the idea of having to measure up, others are keen to accept the challenge while others again do not give a crap.. Hypergamy may only be detrimental when it's unrealistic as the person who is aiming up, doing so while having unrealistic sense of self value, and wants more then she can get, and anything less then what she wants seems like "settling".
