Probably just figuring out exactly what behavior is gendered and what is socialized.

Raise a bunch of small children with zero gender roles, where things that involve seeing their junk (like when changing diapers) is taken care of by one group of staff so the staff doing the rest of the childrearing don't know what gender the kids are.

Have some mono gender groups and some mixed gender groups and see what happens.

If you ask me, you are basically opening pandora's box. My research will probably be nature vs nurture. And also I would probably try out cures which are questionable in the process. And regarding your questions:

Would scientific advancement be decades ahead if we threw out the restrictions of ethics in experimemtal study? Or would it set it back worse than when we are now?

It would turn into a heartless mess if restrictions for bodies being tested are not made. Not ethics but number of test subjects. Remember that we in fact profited a lot because of Nazi experiments however inhuman. But also because there were no restrictions, mengele (angel of death) did his experiments quite carelessly.

I'm antinatalist and I believe in voluntary human extinction. *But if I could I would definitely breed autistics and sterilize neurotypicals.

Then I'd want drug facilitated ego deaths to be culturally revered and considered the greatest possible human achievement.

I think if just those two things happened alone we'd see the earth and environment get rescued in only a few generations.

Because humans are diverse, I am going to need the whole human population as a sample. So, I will first implant sensors that 100% accurately track everything from body movements and neurological activities on every single human. It’s very important that these people are not aware of the sensors. These sensors would send me data 24/7 that are recorded. I will also have a large data base storage and even larger computational tools to analyze the data.

I would then let humans live as usual. Any active and obvious involvement/intervention in their lives may affect the data. With the data, we can now see how attraction works, who finds whom attractive, and so on.

Once we have these baseline observations, we can start changing variables. Say, I create two more planets that are indistinguishable from earth, clone two sets of identical humans, and have each set live on each planet. The two planets are not aware of each other. Then on one planet, testosterone of all men is increased by 100%. Then, we see how it goes and record the data.

I'd do an "all men are Chad" experiment - 200 women and 200 guys living on an island for 30 years, but the guys would all be good looking. My hypothesis is we would finally see an equal and healthy dating market, with no more incel type thinking among the guys, and a much more stable, safer society, and the manosphere's idea that the majority of women would STILL only be genuinely interested in the same minority of guys....would be proven wrong. Sure there would still be some polygamous desires and tendencies, but nowhere near as pronounced as regular society.

These will get super unethical and downright illegal:

Island desirability:

Buy multiple islands.

One island's inhabitants will grow up being told that shorter men are superior. And obese women are desirable. Have another island that is told the opposite. And then have a control island where no one is told anything.

This way we could see if there is a societal influence in what traits are desirable.

Teenage kinks:

We could have a group of young children exposed to content in their teen years.

For one group could be exposed to Balloon popping porn. Another group knife throwing porn.

These are completey unrelated to sex in any way. In the future we could test those same teens as adults to ask what their fetishes are and see if there was an influence. Some groups could have repeated exposure to that content as a teen in one group, etc.

Forced attraction:

We have multiple groups of people.

In each group there will be a man and a woman. And both will rate participants on an attraction scale. Participants who rated eachother low will be matched up. Afterwards, they will be locked in a summer house for 30 days together with nothing but eachother. Then they will be asked to rate physical attraction after the 30 days.

I have many more ideas.
