But if they need a quota to get into the job, doesn't that imply that they don't doing a good job? If somebody is the best, then they don't need a quota to get in.

Here’s what I don’t get. This project is to build a school or something, and according to the article, women only make up 12% of the workforce in the construction trade. So, with that all having been said, why in the absolute blue fuck would you want a group of “managers”, who chances are don’t know Jack shit about how to build a Lego set, much less a friggin school?

When we’re talking about something like therapists or retail or whatever, then yeah I’m all for diversity for diversity sake. But when you’re going to spend a load of money to build something, wouldn’t you want at the very least, one person in management that’s actually swung a hammer in their lives? I guess not.

They dont give a shit about equal representation. Most of them try to portrait this idea, but they dont want to do actual hard labour. They want the juicy, big paying decision making positions, any way possible. I dont have a problem with a female boss. I had and still have a woman as my superior. But, they know what they are doing and are/were a very capable people, whom i can always relied on. I dont have any problem with that. What I do have a problem is quotas... cause in the end it will boil down to this: "Oh shit, we need to fill the quota, quickly find someone. "

Especially in a field, where there arent as many women. It will be way harder to fill these and they will lower the bar...
