I will end up paying Alimony (and it's the right thing to do), but because of variable pay and my STBXW not being interested in working, I'm struggling with the number the calculators are spitting out.

Those who pay, what has your experience been, do you typically end up paying the maximum amount the calculator says? In TX if it makes a difference. Not sure the negotiation is typically all between my wife and I vs a judge mandating the full amount amd how they might treat her lack of interest in employment.
