As soon as you can find some way to legally separate two classes of people, you've paved the way for a degradation of rights for one of those classes, and the other class doesn't have to worry about it affecting them.

In 1930s Germany, people of Jewish descent were given stars so they could be easily identified. As soon as this happened, if there was an atrocity against someone wearing a star, anyone not wearing a star could easily say "Whew! Good thing I don't have to worry about that happening to me!"

Before that, skin color was used as a justification for creating two separate sets of human rights in the southern US. If you were white, nobody could beat you or starve you without some sort of court proceeding beforehand, or state of military emergency or something. But a black-skinned person could be controlled and beaten and even killed without disrupting the social fabric, or anyone's sense of "human rights".

Gender is probably the easiest way of classifying a person at a glance. Biologically, it's inescapable without major surgery, and so nature has provided a caste system right out of the box.

What we are seeing now is an exploration into that territory of diverging standards for human rights. One subset of people, easily identified at a glance, is being disenfranchised slowly but steadily. The voting power and the group-membership-stability of the other group is being used to drive this. The disenfranchisement will accelerate, because each step reinforces the view of separateness, each step reinforces each previous step that has been made.

We are in serious danger, brothers.

I would have thought by now we'd have established a better system than police. Certainly where I live, they are a pressure upon legislators to infringe upon personal rights and freedoms all in the interests of making their job easier. Essentially, treat everyone like criminals.

I do not subscribe to the statement "you have nothing to fear if you've done nothing wrong". The revealed corruption in the local police service is ample evidence to me that this is a false premise.

Reminds me of the Anti-Social Behavior Orders - started out being used to keep misbehaving teens in check and hopefully out of juvenile prisons, ended up being used to stop any teen who looked a bit too working class from standing on a middle-class street corner.

This is 2nd part of the two stage communist style crackdown in UK and other western countries.

Porn Filter on all of internet; you can call the ISP to have it removed. Porn filter also incidentally censors a lot of content that is critical of the govt & security establishments.
if you have the porn filter removed; now your access to internet will be limited so you can't criticize the govt / security agencies I bet Stalin would be damn proud just about now and offcourse you can't leave that country ... basic violation of movement rights for any free countries.

All of this has nothing to do with Porn, rape or genders ... the whole exercise is to subvert and subjugate the population.

I can't help but wonder that those in the power centers are scared of any potential backlash from the people for endless bad governance (bankrupt cities, colossal tax drains on pointless programs etc. etc.)

Although this technically appears to be a gender neutral law, everybody knows they're only gonna apply it to men.

Take a good hard look at the UK, 'cause that's where the rest of us are headed at this rate. They've completely exhausted all of the possible ways they can give women advantages by giving them rights, and have since moved on to giving women advantages by taking away the rights of men, children, and female victims of female perpetrators. They're turning into a true female supremacist state, and yet nobody seems to think this is a problem.

Not only is it a problem from an ethical point of view, but there's a reason most matriarchies fail miserably... they just don't work in practice. At this point I'm just standing by waiting for the UK to implode. But then, I'm sure they'll find a way to blame patriarchy for that too. They always find a way.

1: the article is talking about bail conditions, stronger bail conditions being imposed on those suspected of sex offences.

2: the article is talking about sex offence orders, conditions that convicted sex offenders have to abide by.
