So after pulling himself from a twisted wreckage...the police are trying to say he CHARGED them aggressively while seeking help. What the fuck kind of story is that? I don't buy that shit for a second.

What's especially sickening is that if Ferrell didn't have a minor degree of fame from being an A&M football player, we probably never would have heard about his murder. He would just be another violent thug who terrorized a poor white girl and assaulted the police. It's funny how men are about 27 times more likely to be killed by the police, yet it seems like we're much more likely to see outrage, investigation, and punishment when a woman gets shot by the police

This is probably a men's rights issue and a race issue. There's no proof that either was a contributing factor, but I'd be surprised if they weren't. Either way, it's shameful that the police killed the guy without even trying to find out what was going on.

Also, I can't blame the female resident too much. If someone was knocking on my door at 2:30am, I wouldn't answer it either. And if they wouldn't leave and were big enough to kick my ass in a fight (like an ex-football player for example) I too would be a little bit freaked out and call the cops.

But I would expect the cops to find out what they want, not kill them.

Wow. So instead of just taking a few hits from the guy charging at you, and then booking him. It makes more sense to just shoot him dead in case you get hurt? If the women was scared, she did the right thing, the police should have been to easily sorted the situation out and taken him to the hospital.

If I was in a car accident, covered in blood, and had walked a half mile for help, then they closed the door in my face, I'd be happy to see the police too and I might 'run' (read: Jog) to them too. Having been in an accident, I might not have my head on straight and might have reduced hearing or an injury that prevented me from hearing the officer tell me to stop(if he did ask for him to stop).

How could the police not approach this better?

Apparently the officer is devastated by this AND is in jail on a charge of manslaughter. I guess I'll take that over "The Officer Acted Appropriately and had cake for dinner".
