Women dying doing men's jobs would be very good for men. The resulting instant attention at even a single female death would probably result in quadrupling the safety standards for that task and industry.

Nothing gets news, attention, and dollars like a woman having a hard time or, gasp, fatality. It would take a hundred men dying at that same task to get the same fixes. Sadly.

Women completely ignore the glass cellar jobs which keep the country moving forward. They almost must have a kinked neck because they only look up towards the glass ceiling and complain bitterly that the "few" people in power there translate that to all men having the power.

They only complain about inequality when it comes to High ranking corporate jobs, and completely ignore inequality when it comes to the death professions, they do not want equality there because men are seen as disposable.

It took some serious digging, but I did manage to find some (rather out-of-date) stats for the UK:

See page 3 - M:F ratio of 'excess mortality from injuries that were likely to be occupational' - 1300:52. So that's 96% male workplace deaths.

I've extrapolated a bit, but I agree 100% with the point I think you are trying to make.

Women and men will never be doing the same tasks within the same jobs. And so the death rate will always be different.

Even when I was in the Navy, females with the exact same rank and rating (job description) were far less likely to be the ones doing the more dangerous stuff. Sometimes because they just physically could not do the work (or feigned to be unable), others because they intentionally get pregnant to avoid going out to sea, and some just flat out sucked at their job (and unlike men that sucked at their job, this was somehow OK) so they got assigned less dangerous and less strenuous assignments.

Don't get me wrong, some of the women were amazing mechanics and were better than a lot of men (small hands are especially useful at times). But a lot of females, through no fault of their own, were just physically incapable of doing their share of lifting a 1000 lb bomb to be mounted while in 100 degree heat on a flight deck surrounded by high explosives, afterburners, taxi-ing jets and arresting wires.

Females and males are, by definition, not the same. If we can accept that men are generally more capable at heavy lifting/physical tasks, why do we have to be force fed the idea that both sexes are equally capable at everything else?

I'm all for making sure that both sexes have the opportunity to do any job they want. But absolutely despise the idea of mandating that under qualified people should be given any priority purely due to their sex (or race).

You don't fix sexism by mandating sexism. The idea of that is absolutely absurd.

Workplace death will always be different because men and women will do different tasks, even within the same job title. And because of this, pay will also be different.

I wonder how many female crab fishermen there are for example. This is a job that has an excessively high death rate and is one of the most dangerous jobs there is. I haven't watched every single season of deadliest catch, but I don't recall seeing a female on deck ever.

This thread pretty much answers all of that feminist shit. True equality cannot be had until the impossible happens. I don't believe its possible even if the body count is the same. If the pay is the same. We are built differently. We think differently. We act differently. You can't expect two different beings to be completely equal on every front. They have pros and cons that we don't. We have pros and cons that we don't. We can make sure the way we are treated is equal, but we can't do shit about the way we are.

What I also find interesting is that there are very few women standing up for their husbands that are dying left and right at these jobs and saying this is unacceptable. It's like they don't even care.

I agree with your conclusion but not your logic to reach it. They may just be better at doing the jobs safely/carefully.

I don't think this at all by the way, I know that they don't do remotely the same work, but it's just a pretty big hole in your argument.
