Sure it would bother me if she had a ton more experiences than i did, like for example my gf has had 11 and i have had 17 (both mid 20s age; maybe 3ish per year of sexual activity age for me and 2 ish for her) so it's within the same ballpark + I've had more, i just want us to be sociosexually compatible so if i was a male virgin or <5 i would definitely be wary of dating the girl i am currently dating. Yet if i was someone who was very very sociosexual with >50 n count I'd be concerned at dating someone with so much less experience.

Basically? Similar n is most important. Low-n isn't important unless it's getting in to the high dozens of partners for either by the 20s and then you're looking at a super rarely high level of sociosexuality which is risky due to theit more likely to cheat at those tail end of the distribution, or you're simply looking at a damaged person. Now, ofc, if i was that high sociosexuality I'd probably think differently and be cool with it. But im not.

I will never understand why men in general are so obsessed with comparing themselves to other men that the fact a woman has more experience than them scares them.

I've been in relationships with women with "more" sexual experience than me. I've been in relationships with women with "less" sexual experience than me. How successful those relationships have been depends on the woman not their sexual history.

I think people just need to chill out and not lock themselves out of good experiences and people because they are too insecure to handle it.

I don't really think I am any pill now. But when I was Blue Pill, I suppose I was then at least, one of my long-time girlfriends had a very high N. We'd been together for about a year when we exchanged N numbers. Mine was 20+ at the time, hers was clearly maybe 40+. We were both in our late thirties, so the number wasn't insanely high.

I remember I felt the initial, primal, male twinge of repulsion. Just a twinge because I'd obviously already dealt with the first part of that primal repulsion by knowing she'd had sex at all before she had it with me. And also, modern culture in general lessens the overall male instinct here. And while that instinct exists in most men, I never found myself in the thrall of the reciprocal desire for female virginity.

At any rate, we feel lots of primal impulses and this one wasn't particularly strong. It did have me spend a day or two looking for any of the signs of the kind of dysfunction such a number might indicate. But she really did seem to enjoy having sex with me. She never said it was always the best sex in her life ever, but then again not every tumble with her was the best sex I'd ever had. Like in all things, there was variation. Some of our best nights would have been in my top ten if one were inclined (or even able to) really rank some things. It seemed to be the same for her. It was good sex on the whole, and getting better. So if I could accept that from her, I figured she should be able to live with the same from me.

I then thought about her situation and personality and tried to make sense of her N number. It fit within a fairly healthy paradigm. She liked sex and there had been reasons why she couldn't really get into a LTR for a good 10-12 years of her prime sexuality.

And I took the current culture into account. Even then, I knew in theory, that both of us probably would have been a bit better off having had a lower N count. Just like most people would be better off in a society that were able to limit promiscuity without being overly tyrannical about it. But given our society wasn't like that, we are all weak to temptations of the flesh, myself included. And in both our cases, neither of us seemed to be a lot more damaged by the promiscuity than is normal., even factoring in that in general women are more damaged than men by greater promiscuity. But she was far from a typical girl, which is part of what I liked about her.

None of these were new thoughts. I'd put all this together before knowing her exact N count. Just by getting to know her I had already had a general idea that she had been pretty sexually active. But upon learning the actual number, I just revisited it all. It still made sense. And I didn't really care much about it again.

Body count is not really important to me, for me it’s more about reasons why they have n count xyz.

Did she just fuck, because she had the chance and was bored? (Not really concerned about that if it happened occasionally, while she was single. We all know that this happens, when you are young)

Did she just go out to have sex with rando? Was this in her experimentation phase or was she also like this a year ago. (Big red flag, because then we have way different values)

15 at 19 sounds quite extreme tho, and I would've reacted to it badly. Basically it gets worrysome to me when it seems like a coping mechanism to some untreated psychological trauma or somesuch. It's hard to say any number that fits all, it depends also on person and the environment they were in, and even then the actual question is if there is underlying psychological damage or not. Maybe she just likes sex.

Let’s get one thing out of the way: discussing sexual history will bother nearly everyone. It’s a biological reaction to mate guarding and us visualizing them with someone else. The more detailed we get, the more it bothers us.

So I think the better question is: would it bother me after getting over this gut reaction? It depends on the context on the number of partners and experiences. I’ve got a somewhat high count myself, but I’ve been single for only five years of my entire adult life. Did she rack up much higher recently? On a bender? Via being single for a long time and causal dating? When she was young? The story behind the number would tell me more.

As for experiences... I don’t know what you have in mind. Someone considerably more sexually adventurous than me would probably turn me off. Not because I’m a prude but because I’m not a prude and that would mean she’d be into some wild stuff. Things that just wouldn’t appeal to me and I think me not doing would feel restrictive to her. So we’d have an incompatibility.
