I'm not sure there are statistics out there but almost every time I talk to someone or read a post from someone whose wife initiated divorce it's because she had already monkey branched to a new guy.

🤣 I swear that is what I was experiencing to a T. Begging, pleading - "just not happy anymore" & "noooo, there is no one else - in fact I dont even want a relationship, I am probably not even capable." Ok, accepance, letting go. 5 weeks after divorce is finalized, she informs me via text message that there is now a new partner with his own kid (we have two) and she just wanted to tell me so I don't hear it from our kids first - just to do the "right thing". 🤣🤣🤣

I am right there with you. She gave me a laundry list of reasons she wanted the divorce. Were her reasons valid concerns? Yes, but they were not deal breakers in any relationship. All were fixable with some changes, better communication, and marriage counseling. I begged her for a month, told her I would do anything to save our family, but she was completely unreceptive. She said there was no one else. It was all my fault.

Found out last week she is having an online affair with a married man she used to work with, and it began before she filed. My desire to have her back has been replaced by anger - not in a violent way. I am now more motivated to get this over with and go no contact to the extent possible considering we will be coparenting. I now know it wasn't my fault. I now know that she is damaged and pathetic.

Holy shit I got this same script tonight, with my birthday in 2 days! Said she hadn’t been happy for years and the reasons she had listed are easily fixable with more communication and couple therapy, but she won’t agree to therapy to save our marriage, she won’t put in the effort and says I’m the problem. It’s completely broken me and now my poor kids will grow up with seperate parents because she’s not willing to try
