That's been my experience.

I used to wonder how difficult it would be to find someone new, being a 50+ year-old guy.

I'm not hot, not tall, not very social, but still ended up in two long-term relationships before my divorce was final (still in the second relationship @ 1.5 years). And I never even had to go online!

It seemed like once word got around, there were plenty of lonely, single 40-50 year-olds looking to snatch up any new guys before they "hit the market."

OLD is REALLY tough for older women. Decent guys who are willing to commit drop off the apps quickly. That leaves a shit-ton of guys who are either continually making the rounds or are lingering on the market for good reasons. And even if a woman manages to find a guy her age who IS a catch, that means he's also likely looking to date younger (because he can).

I didn't WANT to get divorced, but in all honesty, it allowed me to majorly level-up at my age. It allowed me to upgrade to someone far more attractive, thinner, better educated, and more successful than the ex.

Meanwhile, my ex has been on several apps and hasn't gotten so much as a date! I wish her the best, but I have no sympathy for her. She didn't appreciate the life I worked so hard to provide for her, and now she's realizing that no other guy wants some other man's overweight, spoiled, leftovers. Love my new life!! :)

Same! Fit 40 yr old dad with a good job and my own home. Started a dating profile and within a few days I had like 20 threads going. I’ve been out on several dates in first couple weeks and all have been good with two out of 3 being very good. Who would’ve thought…wish I would’ve gotten in the game sooner. Can’t imagine what it would’ve been like had I been 35 and come off the bench. Aside from women and more importantly, I have my confidence, independence and sense of adventure back. Same here, was in a marriage having shitty compliance sex, once she filed I was immediately on the apps and could fuck 4-5 women a week every week if I wanted to. 6’5” and a good income certainly helps.
