Lol we had this discussion, and she told me she wasn't planning on dating at all.

Two weeks later, kids meet her first boyfriend. And a month after that they met her second/current boyfriend. Women are insane

They make me laugh how they all say they "put their kids first" then proceed to destroy the family and try and introduce the kids to some guy they hardly know! All whilst trying to find themselves oh well my ex wife is now a struggling single mum of 47 after her friends husband dumped her after he got what he wanted 😂

There is no rule about it.

My exwife? For each guy she dated, by date #2, it was true love. By third date, she introduced him to the kids.

For me? She had this laundry list of things. Had to be dating 3 months. And she had to meet my girlfriend first.

So I pretty much ignored her “rules.” I remember she told her family and friends that I was gay, and dating a man. It trickled down to the kids, and I said “hell no” and I introduced the kids to the woman I was dating. A nice big busty woman who had birthed 3 children and was most certainly not a man.

She called me up the next day screaming at me. I had to hang up on her 3 times before she stopped calling.

Unfortunately there's not much you can do about it except voice your concerns. Definitely keep an open communication about it with your kids, but women are going to do whatever they want in the name of love, or lack thereof.

Case in point: my ex and I share 50/50 custody. During mediation I tried putting in a morality clause in there stating we would not introduce significant others, starting six months from the date of the divorce. She already had a man she was leaving me for, and she immediately showed her hand by having that changed to no introducing significant others until the day of the divorce.

The sad part? She couldn't even live up to that. Found out from my kids that not only did they meet him before the divorce, but they were living with him on the weeks they were with her two months before we even had a divorce date.

My advice is this: don't worry about things you can't control. She is going to date who she wants, sadly with little or no thought as to how it will affect your kids. All you can do is keep that open communication with your kids and log everything in case it does get ugly and you have to take her back to court for more custody.

My ex was already dating her new man when she left but we did actually discuss the introduction to the children. After she spent a while yelling and screaming about how it's her life and she can do what she wants she realized that I could then go ahead and introduce someone also and we decided to be fair about it. There is no time limit on what we discussed but we did state that when you are ready to introduce this person to the children you would let the other party know in advance so you don't find out about it from the kids. She's been with this guy over a year now and has not introduced them to the children which makes me wonder if he's so great to blow up your family for, why aren't you bringing them around yet? Sounds like buyer's remorse to me honestly

As long as the dude is not a criminal and a danger to your kids you really can’t control who she has around them on her time, nor she when it’s your time. It’s common decency to not bring your new partner around your kids until it’s serious and long term and to let your ex know. You DO NOT need their permission or consent, but in the interests of coparenting, it’s recommended. Obviously she thinks she’s above this level of decency.

As much as it sucks you don’t get a say in when your ex gets a new partner, nor when they introduce them to kids.

I’ve heard of many situations where the co-parents agree not to introduce new partners for a certain period of time only for that agreement to be totally disrespected.

Mine started seeing her boss when we were still under the same roof, not 6 weeks after the separation conversation.

The creep moved on her the minute he found out her marriage was ending. Still with the rat fuck as far as I know.

Our child custody agreement says that the other party needs to be informed before kids meet with any new partner.

So in this particular case NEVER. Ex knows bet than to ask.

Anyone else I would say at least 6 months to even a year.

My ex and I agreed to steadily dating the same person for a minimum of 6 months before we introduce them to our kids.
