Of course they are. How fucking old are you people? You don't share feelings like that with women at least until they're very emotionally invested. Women are not into whiny or emotional guys unless they're insanely good looking. Do you have a brain? Look at the guys attractive women date. Keep these feelings inside or share with your bros. Women will be more sympathetic if they can relate to your problem like a sexual assault or a rape for example but it can be used against you and this is not just a woman thing

this attitude of men complaining about loneliness and depression online is not favorable by women and I’m not sure about reasons why , women complain all the times about the same things over and over but they receive empathy

I'm reminded of Spockmania, as described by Leonard Nimoy on why women loved the character:

The appeal of Spock wasn't his superficial stoicism but rather he kept his cool and emotional outbursts from others bounced off of him. He was also deeply emotional despite his characterization.

Men who are chronically depressed or easily irritated or angered are repulsive to women. Men who are cheerful, positive, humorous, and keep cool are attractive.

It has nothing to do with stoicism, which is not an attractive feature in most situations.

There is nothing wrong with men sharing their feelings about being lonely or depressed. Blaming others for your loneliness, or acting like you are the only one in the world with problems, and being foul about women on an internet site like a certain sexless population of men like to do, may get you told off but you should anticipate that.

It’s always fun to find someone who talks about their loneliness in a way that makes you sympathetic on one sub, only to see them on other subs saying women are the cause of all their suffering and we should be forced to have sex with them.

I guess you've stumbled on such occurrence on internet which I'd like to remind anyone who are chronically online that internet rarely reflects a real life interaction and usually reflect an extreme level of minority in population. Something like an extreme radical feminiist is a very rare occurrence that's just easier to see on internet or through Tiktok. Generally you're chances of meeting a nicer person is way higher when it's a woman than man. Ofc I don't imply that men are subpar in such department, or women are necessarily always that way, I just mean that people are probably inclined through common sense that women in general can be expected to be nicer or at least more in touch with emotional sides, which I'd argue is part of their socialization, if not a flat out biological trait.

At least in my experience women generally are more empathetic and empathetic enough that a close female friend, they'd most likely to always be down to let me vent and share my feelings and even cried for me on some shit I thought was very absurd to even happen to my life. But this obviously requires SOME level of context. Because on the other hand, there also exist men who emotionally explode as soon as they feel there was some sort emotional connection that's been established, which comes off socially stunted and sometimes even creepy.

Most people who insult others on internet doesn't give a fuck. Put it this way, the same dude who called me motherless bitch fuck on league, probably called a girl motherless bitch fuck at some point. But if I had to bet on WHO cares more about someone's emotion, it'd be a woman 100% of the time.

You are equating "display of emotion" with "display of suffering from loneliness and depression". There are attractive ways and emotions to display and there are ways and emotions to display that result in a very negative picture of the person, on average.

I think it requires a certain level of autism to not understand that when women say "we want men who show emotions" they don't mean we want weak, lonely men who whine about their miserable life and lack of sexual attention.

I'd argue that this is only applying to specific thoughts and feelings (women don't like me for this and that reason) in a specific setting (reddit.)

A man can express sadness over his dying parents or something like that and women will react differently; sympathetic etc.

It is not that women are "wired" to want stoic men. It's the language and the certain ideas that are being expressed by these feeling-sharing men that trigger certain reactions from women (and other men as well.)

But yeah, there might be truth in the theory too. I think generally tho people just have lower tolerance for others negative emotions and mix that with cultural context which often appericates that strong stoic" me no weak feeler" type guy it makes sense to feel repulsed.

People telling lonely and/or depressed people to kill themselves are scum. Doesn't matter what your age, gender, race, or astrological sign is, that's just asshole behavior.

Unfortunately, sometimes it isn't just sharing feelings of depression and loneliness. Some guys blame women/society/the universe for their unfortunate situation, or act like their problems are the biggest, most pressing issue and any problems other people might have aren't as bad or important. As someone who has struggled with depression for the better part of a decade, I can sympathize with someone going through it, it's awful and sometimes you feel like there's no way you can ever feel better. I encourage everyone to seek help when they're dealing with depression because it can easily ruin the relationships you already have in your life, making your situation even worse. That being said, I feel very little sympathy for someone who tries to use their poor mental health as an excuse to lash out at other people. It's also hard to feel sympathy for someone who does nothing to try to improve their situation.
