No they aren't. Something like 40-60% of these women identify as feminist (depending on the source you look at), and the percentage is usually greater the younger the woman, which tells you that more women are identifying with it, not less.

Most women who approach mid life realize that they actually want children and a partner. That's because most people want those things. It's a biological imperative. Some of these women will realize their belief system is flawed, but the majority will simply double down on their beliefs even as they hypocritically start looking for a partner which they will attempt to dominate as their own personal beast of burden. As those women get older, there are younger women to take their place. A huge amount of young women identify as feminist. Even if they don't, they all still hold on to the same beliefs anyway because feminism has become the secular religion of the west.

First off, a 38 year old isn't really Gen Z. That's a millennial. Gen Z's are under 30 and for the most part still heavily vote for the left wing. So no, they are not "waking up" at all.

Millennial women aren't really waking up either in a way to change anything. Some of them are just starting to realize the reality. But most that fall into this like the woman in the article are perfectly happy being alone. Go to their subreddits and its full of women who claim they would rather be with their cats than have to settle for a man that doesn't meet their standards. And they are proud of that "freedom."

They just wrote a really stupid cartoonishly one-sided image in their heads of what marriage was supposed to be like after the 1950s.
