Idk how productive this could be, but I am just curious. Don't really want to get into the weeds, but am scratching a curiosity here. I have a pretty good mental sample size of female friends who don't have good relationships w/ their dads (due to neglect) and noted some trends in how they view men.

Was wondering is it possible for the same to be true in guys? Of the guys I've encountered in the wild, who shared their stories about seemingly bad fathers, there was a whole range of behaviors with a strong divide based on whether or not they sided w/ their dad (either through agreement or as a bystander) or opposed their dad's behavior because of how it negatively impacted them. I have my conclusion based on my personal sample size, but also curious if anyone has reflected and noted correlation based on their relationship w/ their dad in themselves and how they/you view and interact women?

To share, I’ve never really had super deep talks w/ my dad. I don’t think he’s very emotionally literate and my mom was the far stronger personality/force by miles. I don’t know his likes/dislikes. He always did whatever work she asked of him to this day, but I don’t know if I’ve really appreciated it. From my pov I respected my mom more coz she made the decisions while he just did what she directed. He has just followed and I think I’ve taken that as a negative trait whenever I see that in men
