I used to always go for phone numbers but lately I've found it a lot easier to go for the IG. It's not as big of deal to ask for IG infront of a lot of people and they basically get a portfolio of your interests and what your life is like.

Also, when I grab someones number, it's very easy to forget what they look like. There's also no opportunity to reengage if the conversation fizzles out. With IG, I could reengage the girl by replying to her story, or I can remind them of myself when I post my own.

The main downside to getting her IG is that it's impersonal and you may be competing with the sea of men that are hitting her up on there.
