Not to state the obvious, but for anyone who doesn't get this (I was initially wondering where the "before" screenshot was):

1) He asked her when she was free - no response for 11 hours.

2) He told her when he was free - immediate positive response.

This is a really great, concise example of this principle in action. Bravo, OP.

i think a bunch of you guys are missing the point here. this does work, and it's not about being assertive or 'alpha'.

it's decision avoidance. basically, people don't like to make decisions. it takes energy, and we're a lazy species.

by asking her to tell you when she's free, you're asking her to decide between a possibly large set of times. but it's even worse than that: if she tells you when she's free, you might tell her that you aren't available those times, which means she's going to have to make another decision. people are really good at avoiding decisions that lead to further decisions.

if you just pick some, she can easily pick from your list of 2-3. or if she's busy, she can use your suggestions to narrow hers down (if you suggest 8:00 on thursday, she might suggest 8:00 on friday, or 8:00 next thursday), which is easier than picking from the entire set of times.

alternative hypothesis: you forgot the question mark, and she was waiting for you to finish your sentence before responding.

In sales this is known as an Either/Or close. You present 2 positive options and people are most likely to pick one offered.

If you ask a Yes/No the easiest response is no so that's what you're more likely to get.

If you ask an open ended question then you've ceded all control over the subject matter to the person you're asking and are less likely to get a positive response. You are more likely to get a negative response or none at all.

The lesson, not her response, is positive. "I'll let you know" is basically a blow off. Sure she might have fell asleep at 3AM, but she didnt sleep for 11 hours. Girls wake up and look at their phones. She could have responded then. Dont bank on this girl but remember the lesson. Taking the lead is attractive to girls.

Not trying to shoot your ship down, dude, but you kind of messaged her on FB at 3am, she's probably asleep. And that response back the next to day when you messaged her at a reasonable time seemed pretty flaky.

I'd handle her pretty skeptically if she said that, looks like a flake. Try sending something like this: Hey Savanna! Hope [insert rapport building her, e.g. your weekend went great, you did great on your test, your week's off to a good start]! Why don't we do [location] at 7PM Friday, we'll meet [near location] and go from there. :)

I probably get 95-99% yes's from girls that are interested, girls where my approach was sort of shitty maybe close to 30-50%, or they send me flaky responses like that. In that case I just next them and if they want to message me about meeting up later (which happens routinely) I'll usually make it really easy to isolate her and physically escalate, let's cook some dinner at my place and chill for a bit, etc.

Look bro, dont put smiley faces in your text messages or any shit. Texting is all about extremely detailed wording. None of this let me know game. Say it like its going to happen, "we will go here at this time" and if shes busy ask when she is available. Keep it short, simple, and refrain from texting at all and give her a call two hours before date to confirm. If she flakes she flakes if not she holds her word and is interested in some way.
