Wow, it's like keeping certain elements of oldschool game (mystery, strauss) but basically doing away with the petty negging and showing disinterest. That's always been the part I was most uncomfortable with. It just didn't seem natural. And he's right, playing those games, shows just how needy you are. Women can sense genuineness.

Just FYI, your second bullet point for Chapter 4 repeats the first one. But thanks so much for this! I kept hearing so much about this book but wasn't sure if it was worth it. I've been burned with some these "gurus". This seems to be a lot more realistic and honest.

Very good summary, Mark should use this to promote his book.

I particularly like how you wrote: Women are generally only attracted to men who are less invested in them, than they are in themselves. By investment I mean the degree in which you sacrifice/alter your own thoughts/feelings/motivations for someone else. By less I mean that as a man, you should only be willing to sacrifice your thoughts/feelings/motivations for a woman less than she is willing to do the same for you. which in all practicality describes the behavior that it's commonly referred to as romantic by movies, TV, articles, and common culture.

This book also showed up yesterday on the front page. I got the pdf and began to read it... Best decision I ever made. Each chapter speaks to me and helped me realize what issues I'm dealing with. It's absolutely phenomenal. Mark's book is a no bs guide to help better yourself and yo become a better man! This book is AMAZING

Ok so in Chapter 5, Manson describes the 3 types of women: Unreceptive, Neutral and Receptive. He is quite clear on what to do with Unreceptive (identify and move on) and Neutral women (polarise).

However what should we do or how should we behave when dealing with Receptive women? Because he warns that if you treat a Receptive woman as though she is not, then that is a big mistake.

What are people's thoughts on how to deal with Receptive women. I just think in the book he did not cover this bit in much detail. He just mentions that we should escalate.

So on your (seddit's) advice I purchased the audiobook and have been listening to it nonstop today! His approach is like a breath of fresh air after being trapped in the PUA mindset for so long. It's going to take some time to change. I do have the following questions for the community:

Manson advocates direct openers and early displays of interest in women so you can find out if they are interested, neutral or disinterested. By putting the ball in their court, so to speak, am I giving up all my power in the interaction by letting them choose? Should I just escalate with every female until they either reject me or are receptive? Seems there could be some calibration issues.
How does he propose you handle female friends or females you want to keep neutral? i.g. females at work, school, friends of friends or acquaintances you want to save for escalation later?
I think I'm too picky with women for whatever reason. I'll find myself not attracted because they are shallow, silly, unintelligent, or just have some physical features I don't care for. HOWEVER, I will stick it out in some cases for the one night stand. Is this good for my game or not? What if you're so selective you've run through an entire venue? Switch locations? Go home alone?
