This works because it forces her to make a decision and creates fear of missing out. If she says no and your friendship doesn't continue, she has missed out on you as a potential partner. As long as you stay in the friendship she can always keep you on the back burner in case her alternative doesn't work out. The friendzone is advantageous to her, it keeps her options open. You need to force the issue so that she has to make a decision where if she says no, she will forever miss out on a good potential partner. A lot of seduction comes down to creating FOMO in my opinion.

Ugh, I've found myself in a spot that could actually be called the friendzone. The thing is, I really like the girl (not just in a sexual way), and things led me to believe that she likes me a lot as well, even though we've only known each other for like 2-3 weeks. I'm usually not too scared to make a move, but the thing is that she has a boyfriend.. And i kind of respect that..

Now here's the thing, I don't want to lose her, but I also can't stand not having clarity. I strongly suspect that she likes me in more ways than just as a friend, but I feel extremely shitty not respecting her relationship (and I feel strange that she makes me believe all this while she is in a realtionship).

Yeah, I like the part about not apologizing and actually going for a kiss. But as a girl my response would be "So you only want me in your life if you're dating me?". Just because she doesn't want to date you doesn't mean she can't be in your life. Shockingly enough, you should be able to be friends with the opposite gender without any pressure of having to date them or risk an ultimatum of your friendship if you don't want to date them. It just seems like a ploy to try to pressure them into dating you if you say its date me or good bye. If you actually like a person I agree with GOING FOR IT, but don't be a dick like this article feels like its suggesting.

In my case my friendship became more important than my feelings for her. I move on.

If you are meant to be you are meant to be. Even without being an alpha male or w/e.

Real love is when she loves you who you are. This can also come after 5 years being friends or this happens never, if it doesn't. Simple it was just not meant to be, you find someone who will be that person.

Eh, to be honest, sometimes being friends with a girl you want is a good thing. My best friend is a girl. When I met her, I wanted her. I was just coming out of a long term relationship, my confidence was low and my appearance was poor to say the least. I did try, but it was pathetic. Because of that rejection, I got motivated to be better. I opened up and became a more fun person. I started taking better care of myself and my appearance, and worked on my confidence. Now, it's been a few years. I still think this girl is very attractive, however, the thought of losing her as a friend is too much. I'm not interested in dating her now, but because of her, I have grown as a person.

Tl;Dr : sometimes being friendzoned can help you grow up.

I'm speaking to a german au pair (I'm in the UK) who I met on Tinder and earlier today straight up told her she's 'too cute to be my friend' (yeah I stole it off here) and she replied with 'do you want to be enemies then?' - I just said let's get to know eachother properly first and I have a date next week.

Personally I dont like the starting position in this. If you plain tell her, you find her attractive but you are "done being her friend", you basically say "I think you are fucking boring and I dont actually have a reason to hang out with you except for sex".

Although that might be the case, almost no girl likes to hear that.

Ok guys I need some epic help, I'm taking with this girl who I've suppressed my love/desires for about 3 years (since graduating high school) she became beautiful and I got her number after not having it for the same period of time... So last night I texted her and had a really nice conversation catch up on how life has been, this is where things go wrong. . I ask if I could call her and she says that, "normally I would but I'm at the gym." To which I respond, "oh I see no love for me gym first and boys second, jk get your sexy self moving ect. ect." So after ignoring me for a couple hours I text her goodnight; what's worse in the morning realizing my mistake I the apologize for being a creep and that I only said that because I too live in the gym and I didn't realize I stepped out of line." I know it's not too late, but I dug myself into a hole and I need some advice on what I should do next. Serious help from you guys would be amazing.

I'm so tired of this friendzone BS. Either you're sexually viable in her eyes or you're not. "Friendzone" is a word made up by guys who weren't sexually viable to a particular woman but thought that waiting around might change her mind. It doesn't.
