Do you guys use the word "Date" when you ask a girl out or no?

I like to use the date word alot actually. Makes no mistake about my intentions. And I'm safely clear of the friend zone.

I refer back to them as dates after they've happened with her but I don't really say "let's go on a date".

"Can i take you out for drinks/coffee?" is the line I usually. Yes, girls will still complain about how they have never been on a "real date" but we all know that's not true haha

If its the second or so time meeting them and I like them I call them dates, otherwise its just meeting someone new. Once I know I like them then it becomes dating. We're dating. We go on dates.

With this I would have to say, the assume that your in until she tells you no.

In sales they tell you all the time to assume the sale. In seduction it's similar. Assume that it's a date and it will be, assume that she wants the kiss and that's what going to happen. Never underestimate the power of positive thinking

I use the word date because it lets her know that i intend to sleep with her relatively soon. So if she accepts then at the very least she's open to the possibility. It avoids false positives from girls who aren't interested at all and thus polarizes them and keeps me from wasting my time.

Vaguely saying "lets hang out" could be misconstrued by her as just wanting to be friends. So you'l get some true positives and some false positives. I just prefer to avoid the latter.

i play kickball wit this hb8.5 and i been wanting to ask her out for the past couple of weeks. so one night i grew the balls and ask her out to coffe. using this line "lets get coffee soon", she said yes and gave me her number. couple of days later as i was getting the logistic right i told her 8pm at this place. she said "perfect". now i was not sure if she knew if it was a date or not, and i wanted to make sure so i replayed with "Cool, It's a date", im we are meeting tomorrow.

Basically i made sure that she knew that i wanted to take her on a date and not be friends.

i cant remember ever saying that word. Nothing wrong with it but it's probably best reserved for when you are actually with a girl...as in "so hey are we having a date night on thurs? this time you choose the movie/bar".

for a first date (or b4 you hit), I'd avoid the word like the plague

Funny story. I was at work and knew this women who I got along with very well. I looked at her kind of like my mom. I had no interest in the women at all sexually. So I asked her if she wanted to see a movie. Mostly just to hang out.

Later that same day she asks me if I think its a date. OMG. I told her absolutely not. I never had the heart to tell she reminded me of my mom and I had not the slightest interest in her at all that way. I just liked her personality. I thought it was funny later on. We went to the movie and we both paid for our own tickets. We never went out again and eventually lost touch.

Generally I am a spur of the moment type guy. I hardly ever use the date word now that I think about it. Perhaps I should.

Say the word date, it's fine. I get excited for dates, and if there's anything I've learned from years of being the little brother, and from all the female friends I have, it's that they get really excited for Dates.

Pressure and expectations? She's not a porcelain doll and this is real life, she can take it. If you want to successfully ask girls out you have to learn how to ask things of people.

Doesn't matter too much as long as it is just you and her. No friends.

Now the difference between saying "do you want to go on date?" and "let's go to dinner sometime" is that there is a bit a plausible deniability.

So, it is very clear and direct when you say "date". However, if you don't, then she knows it is a date. But she could convince herself "o it's not a date" or "o maybe he does or doesn't like me." That does leave a little bit mystery for her, but expectations could slightly lower (putting-out wise).

I think asking her on a date is a better move, because it's clear that both of you know. Asking her to dinner comes in second place.

I avoid the word like a plague -- i use meeting or hang out or meetup -- never a date. Too many rules when it's a date.

First dates are normally "Lets hang out and get to know each other". Second dates are "Let me take you out on a date."

It really depends on her personality and the vibe you've established.

Girls who are more laid back prefer the date frame over ones that are more high strung. It's more polarizing and makes your intentions clear.

Also girls who are sexually reserved like it because it makes them feel validated in a safe way. Girls who know they're hot prefer a more casual frame.

I don't use the word date because it might imply I'll want to be her bf in the future when I might just want a fwb thing. A free meal? You're doing it wrong. I haven't paid for a girl's meal since high school and 9/10 don't have a problem paying for themselves. Unless you're intending on actually dating them, you're just hanging out, because you hang out with lots of girls ;)
