Limitless was fun to watch, but the protagonist is still a bit stupid and doesn't understand compound growth.

If he can double a thousand dollars every few days, he doesn't need to borrow 100k from the mafia. Just have patience. 10 doublings is a factor of 1024.

Limitless is basically people on blow, I don’t know how more people don’t see that. Crazy stupid love can be good if you’re getting back into game after a long lay-off and feel clueless like the main character but the only real takeaway is to love yourself and be confident, which is most people’s advice anyways

I would say, Gattaca. A movie which has a setting of a Sci-Fi but makes you feel like its a drama. Inspires one that limit is only in mind.

The 'Damone' character in 'Fast Times' is a caricature of a pick-up-artist. Though the character is exaggerated, it's actually quite accurate:

1) Damone suggests that "whereever you are, act like that's the place to be." This is actually really good advice. I think that some people go on dates and if it's lame, they'll actually acknowledge that it's going badly. Don't do that; always act like you're having a great time, even if you're not. (Obviously, once you get to know them you can open up, but in the beginning, follow Damone's advice.)

2) This quote from the movie is hyperbolic, but there's real truth buried here. In particular, that you don't give a fuck if things go your way or they don't. That's some seriously good advice in general. Nothing scares a woman off faster than one-itis.

Mike Damone: I mean don't just walk in. You move across the room. And you don't talk to her. You use your face. You use your body. You use everything. That's what I do. I mean I just send out this vibe and I have personally found that women do respond. I mean, something happens.

Mark Ratner: Well, naturally something happens. I mean, you put the vibe out to 30 million chicks, something is gonna happen.

Mike Damone: That's the idea, Rat. That's the attitude.

Mark Ratner: The attitude?

Mike Damone: Yeah! The attitude dictates that you don't care whether she comes, stays, lays, or prays. I mean whatever happens, your toes are still tappin'. Now when you got that, then you have the attitude.

surreal comedies are my favorites in general, like Cooper Barretts Guide to Surviving Life which you might also enjoy
