Liking women between 18-25 is in the most literal sense not being into minors. I get people love to throw around words like pedo, but unless they’re with women below 18 they’re in the most literal sense not pedophiles.

And no, women don’t expire at 25. Studies say that most women are most attractive between 21-25ish years old, but that doesn’t mean all women are ugly by the time they hit 30. If you were good looking in your teens and 20’s, and you take care of your skin and weight, you should be good looking into your 40’s and even 50’s.

Not sure where you hang out, but women in their 30s+ who naturally look as good as women in their 20s are incredibly rare. The “expired women” comments are definitely juvenile, but women in their 20s are objectively more attractive to most men than their older counterparts. Now whether or not an older man is willing to deal with a girl in her 20s is a whole other story. But if we’re just talking looks or sex, it’s a no brainer & there’s nothing predatory about it when it’s two consenting adults.

Generally, a man who is accomplished usually is in his 30s and wants to begin a family, would prefer younger women because they give the least chances of birth defects, and there is higher fertility (Early 20s - late 20s the latest).

Women, on the other hand, prefer a man who has already accomplished enough to provide. So, in the late 20s and up.

I know that there are exceptions, but this is the general rule.

As a women in my early 50’s I want contribute some personal experiences and thoughts from an “older”women’s perspective.

I think on a societal level, of course, women look best and have the maximum fertility in their early 20’s. And if you want to have kids, fertility is important.

But we shouldn’t forget that most men can’t pull women that are a lot younger. That’s reserved to the top 10-20%.

If you’re a great guy above a certain age but are just below the top guys you have a hard time getting any female attention. At least that’s what I heard from men I went on dates with who are in my age group. And to be honest, most men in that age group are divorcees with almost adult children. For them, fertility doesn’t matter and it comes down to just looks and personality.

If you’re 40+ and you look great for your age and did some looks maxxing, you get A LOT of attention from men in your age group. And that’s attention from men who want a serious relationship/marriage and who are financially secure. At that age, the average men rarely wants to play the field. They just want a great partner and most male divorcees get married again if they find a suitable woman.

When I was on dating apps two years ago, I had so many great men I went on dates with and found “my guy” after only 2 months. We’re together almost 2 years now and he’s proposing soon. And he’s no compromise I settled for, he’s better than what I had when I was younger and didn’t know what I wanted. I would even say he’s in the top 10%. 6’2”, 6-figure income, 3-years older than me, handsome for my taste… his ex-wife also got remarried fast again to a top guy. She’s exactly my age.

My female friends in the same age group who tried the same had similar experiences. But we all look very good for our age because we are putting in some work. And we’re all not entitled or unrealistic in our search. If you’re okay with skipping the top 15% your age group in looks, you have no problem finding what you’re looking for as a women above 40. I even have a 60 year old friend who’s crushing it right now.

I would strongly suggest staying away from subs or yt channels where the men think that way. That is such a small (very vocal) portion of men. Think about the men you know irl--do any of them feel that way? Probably not. And none of the men I know irl would ever say that nonsense.

I'm thankful that the internet was still very new when I was in my 20s. Because men like that would've gotten under my skin too. But now that I'm older, I really don't care what some random hateful man says about women online. I'm happily married, but if I wasn't and was looking for a partner, I wouldn't be bothered at all by that. If a man doesn't want you for whatever reason, great! Let them weed themselves out. I would want a man who wants me the way I am. Nobody is perfect, and you should look for a man who feels the same way and will love you for you, even as you get older (just like he would want you to do for him).

Also, keep in mind that many (older) men who are looking for a young woman are only doing so because they think she's easier to manipulate and control. They don't think a woman their own age would put up with their crap. IMO, a real high value man never puts any woman down, even if she's not his type. That says a lot about a person's character (man or woman) if they criticize or make fun of another person's age or physical appearance (things we cannot control). A real man is kind and polite to all women, even if he knows they cannot/will not date him or have sex with him. A real man never feels the need to bash women like that.

Agree. Men age too. And often worse than women because they aren’t putting effort into keeping wrinkles away and staying fit. So it’s quite something for them to make these claims. Tbh, it’s usually not high value men though. Ugly losers mostly. A high value man wants a partner in life and if he’s 35, and 21 year old isn’t that.

While the genders are different for sure, hard agree with you that these men that only like women that are “legal” but young (and stay that way instead of naturally liking women in their own age range) are men that 1. Watch too much porn and 2. Would probably date that 16 year old if it was “legal.”

That saying is literally what certain men try to push to get women to settle down and not be so picky with who they choose. Men/society try to tell women that after 30 they no longer have value so that they don’t continue to live their lives and instead choose to settle and serve men. And no, not all men think like that. I find all this stuff so strange. Yeah, you’ll never be as pretty as you were as a teenager or early 20’s, but that doesn’t matter when you find the right guy.

My husband loves me, he’s into chubby girls & lucky for him, I’m (23) fat & pregnant at the same time. I’m not scared of ageing and I think it’s strange that women are. You see so many couples who are so deeply in love until they’re in the 90’s. My husband is going bald and he’s 29. I’m not ready to trade him in!

I think a lot of this is just a quality of person issue. That guy from the titanic trading in his gf the day she turns 25 is weird. Character issue.

Men tend to prefer younger women for reason stealing with youth and beauty, which are signs of fertility. That doesn’t mean that women older than 25 cannot be attractive, or cannot get pregnant, but let’s not pretend that, On average, a 25-year-old is going to be able to get pregnant more easily, and certainly have more children than a 42-year-old.

Charlize Theron is certainly an outlier in that she’s absolutely gorgeous at 48. But she’s having difficulty finding a man who will wife her up for a variety of reasons, some of which are self-inflicted. She is unlikely to be able to give a man his own biological child, at least not without massive medical intervention. She’s also adopted a few kids and men do not generally want to raise someone else’s child. She certainly has the money to provide for these children herself, but her problem is that she is an absolute apex beauty and has been her whole life, plus she is an Oscar winner, very tall (5’10) and quite wealthy. Women date across and up competence, hierarchies, and so the vast majority of men will be invisible to her because her requirements will be off the chart. For example, she had a quiet fling with Brad Pitt, but could not get him to wipe her up or maybe it was Sean . Or maybe it was both. She certainly has access to high status, but she can’t get one of them to wife her up, which she has complained publicly about. Not this specific men, just her lack of a husband in general.

A woman who wants to be wife and a mother will be best advised to start vetting men when they are younger because it will be much easier to secure a man that she wants in your early 20s that it will be in your mid to late 30s.

Men and women each want what they want, and complaining about it isn’t going to be useful for either sex.

I don't think either is true. I don't think that women necessarily expire after 25. But I don't think that the majority of your post is actually true. It's true that in general as women age, they become less sexually attractive. Men being attracted to women who are under 25 has nothing to do with being attracted to minors. You seem to be mixing up definitions. But I mean if we're being realistic here, you don't actually want to have a rational conversation about this. It's pretty clear that you're pretty biased. And that kind of bitter, for reasons that are not entirely clear. Maybe because your past your expiration date. Or maybe you were just never very attractive to begin with. Because if we're being realistic here, if you had no problem attracting the kind of man that you would wanna be with, then you probably wouldn't be on Reddit making this kind of post to begin with.
