I want to phrase this as gently and inoffensively as possible because I am asking a good faith question out of concern and curiosity.

If there is anyone here from the UK or just someone who is familiar with its politics, can you maybe explain why there seems to be such calculated viciousness towards men and boys over there?

It isn't exactly sunshine and rainbows over here in the US (completely the opposite, really) but from what I've been hearing over the last few weeks there seems to be a concentrated and deliberate effort to push down men and boys and undercut them at all costs, while raising women and girls up.

The thing is, I know so little about the UK's political situation (I know a bit about the Labour party) that I cannot gage what's going on. Is there a genuine war on men or is this just a lot of bad news clumped together?

EDIT: I just want to say to whoever replied to my comment that for whatever reason I can't see it despite getting a notification. I've been having that problem lately and it's extremely frustrating. I just wanted to acknowledge that I appreciate that someone took the time to answer.

Honestly a minister for men probably isn't the best answer for this, because I'm sure a "minister for men" post would soon get corrupted into yet another "fight toxic men / teach men to behave" post.

However saying "not the answer" without doing something that would help is just callous.

Starmer, saying "not the answer" and then not doing anything else, also isn't the answer.
