High status in job or high social status? Look I could horde money and have a well paying job. Or I could have a high paying job and use it to fund an attractive social life. Or I could be low paying but good social life. Two of these will attract women, 1 MIGHT attract gold diggers.

Millionaires and doctors aren’t out in the street approaching.

Approaching randos en masse especially on the street are for dudes who have no social circle or connections.

It has the lowest chance of success and is the biggest waste of time.

From what I’ve seen getting women is a completely different skill set, some it comes naturally others have to work for it. Unrelated to success in other areas of life.

With that said your high status friends opinion should matter little re cold approach, they just have too much pride to do it while you’ve accepted it’s a numbers game. What they’re saying is there’s other ways to meet woman without dealing with rejection, but we all know cold approach have its own benefits.

Being high value and being good with women are often world's apart. I've seen absolute boardroom sharks completely fall apart talking to a hot waitress and some dude who drives a forklift have that same girl swooning within a couple of minutes. Game is more important than anything - that's what makes you high value in the real world.

I think you're both kinda lost in your description - maybe that's just a bad read on the actual conversation. To me, it's about not getting rejected. I rarely get rejected cause I don't just dump some shit on a girl and hope to god she accepts me. I chat them up, get a read on where they're at, and flirt/escalate accordingly. That's not say it always goes the way I want, but what doesn't happen is I don't get told no when I ask for a date and a phone number. If she's not in, I'm out, and the only thing that happened was I had a brief conversation with a stranger.

In order to understand this, you need to understand the different games. There is the attraction game and there is the numbers game.

In the "numbers game", being high value doesn't matter. You are just approaching as many girls as possible until you get one who is "DTF". You are behaving in a low value way, but that doesn't matter because being high value isn't the game you are playing.

In the "attraction game", you are behaving high value in social circles order to make women approach you and desire you. This gives you less numbers of women to interact with but higher odds.

You're asking this question because what you're doing only .01% of men actually do this. They've likely never done it themselves, and probably don't need to if they're in the right environment. This is because the majority of dating is done through proximity. Their advice sounds solid in a time where social circles were small with even ratios (in the sense of a town vs city), rigidly enforced, and decently active. A High status manager/doctor/lawyer would usually find their match through work, because the women would want to date those men would work or go to school where those men are. A lesser form of this you join a co-ed club of some sort, people are in proximity with each other and date.

The flip side to this is times have absolutely changed and those circles are no longer as small because of social media, or they are so small an unbalanced that it's difficult to form connections. This is likely why you're seeing doctors with no game, they relied on that kind of environment that just isn't there anymore. If it's not as easily available like it once was, these guys are just fish out of water.

In short, the point understand is most people date within their proximity, pickup is hijacks the whole process by ignoring social norms. The alternative action they're suggesting social circles where your status is a passive effect that brings in women, regardless if it works or not.

A lot of those people have huge social circles or high status in their environment. So meeting women comes naturally to them as their status just attracts women. It’s a form of game just a really hard one and rare. That doesn’t mean approaching is bad it’s amazing for you and you should 100% be doing it

My ex worked at a plastic surgery clinic and she said the drs would ask the assistants and get rejected all the time or theyd use them for dinner.

Managers probably not, most managers aren’t any more social then broke guys.

A lot of millionaires either just DM chicks or flex on dating apps.

Yes they do if they're in a social/talkative mood. However, you seem to expect that they don't walk on the street, but they actually do, even if it's just a short distance from their car to their workplace.

They are just projecting their insecurities on you under their viel of "high status-ness." Just like all beginners they think that status/money/looks alone can bring them to the promiseland.

As to whether your egos get hurt, of course. Approaching with commitment/vulnarability is one of the principles of a good apprpach. I still get burnt time to time.

An alternative would be online, social circle or fame. See my post called different ways to meet and attract women, the title is something like that
