You don’t need to be rich to give someone ‘princess treatment’. Opening doors, cute romantic gestures, taking off their jacket, picking them up etc isn’t really the sign of a gold digger. I liked that treatment from my partner even when he had nothing to his name.

If they want expensive gifts all the time, give off narcissistic self obsessed vibes, are too preoccupied with a social media presence, don’t want to do any normal activities (eg go somewhere ‘normal’ for dinner) and seem way too occupied with what you do for work & how much money you make then sure. They’re probably using you. Just try being less obvious about any of your potential wealth when you meet someone.

Also why are you flaming your friend so hard 😅 you’re making some assumptions here aren’t you? Why don’t you just ask her what her perspective is? And even if she is a gold digger, ‘disappointed with women in general’ is a bit crazy. You’re going to subconsciously resent every woman you interact with if you really think so low of majority of their gender to begin with.

Easy: low investment date ideas. My go-tos (if they aren't just coming straight over to my place for the date) are coffee, drinks at a non-fancy bar, and lunch specials. Very rarely do I invite a girl out for dinner on a first date and if I do, it's to a casual eatery, nothing too special.

If a girl shows disinterest in my first + backup ideas, then I forget about her and move on to the next. Just because she has a vagina does not mean she deserves a fancy night out from a stranger. Not interested in those types of girls.

You sound like you are bitter about how the gender dynamics work. Some women are gold diggers, yes, but not all are like that. Believe me, gold diggers know their type and are very selective about their prospects. For them, time is a resource. If she feels she can't extract enough resources from you, you won't see her again.

Dress nice, but don't overdo it. If you have fancy watches, leave it at home at least for the first date. Don't try to impress her with finances. If she is a gold digger, she won't show up again. Be present, be yourself, women who are looking for connection will stay. That's of course if you have anything to offer.

Gold diggers are far less common than the manosphere will make you believe. It goes against evolved human nature to not desire authentic connection.

Women want security. That is an evolved trait. That means physically, they want to feel like they’re safe in your presence. Emotionally, they want to feel seen and understood. And economically, they need to know that they won’t be struggling to eat or that there won’t be uncertainty around whether or not they’ll be evicted.

But beyond economic stability, very few women are going to be hardcore gold diggers. There may be varying degrees of what economic stability looks like though. Some may want to be able to live in a house that they own and want to be able to afford children. Some just want a simple life. But I’d argue that’s a difference in values, not gold digging.

You won't be able to tell if the girl is willing to bring the things to the table that men want unless you first bring something to the table.

Women want resources and security, we want respect and appreciation.

Paying for the date and being chivalrous is no longer for the sake of chivalry...it's our shit test to them. You can accurately discern if a woman appreciates you or if she is just digging for gold by giving a little gold in the beginning. You get an r.o.i. either way. You get information.

With my current girlfriend, I paid for everything on the first date. This girl surprised me with a watch the next day that was way too expensive, and split the bill on future dates but the point is she proved appreciation, where the vast majority of prior women treated my generosity as a handout so I walked away and some wondered why.

I have only heard of gold diggers on the internet, every woman i met was just a normal girl with feelings, many of them dates guys who had absolutely nothing to offer and who were even financially dependent of them.

This idea of golddiggers just seems promoted by guys who get mad they get rejected and so accuse women of being evil monsters who feel nothing and who have the audacity to have standards, “how dare they?!”🙄

Guys who take one example of a woman and then the generalize into every woman on earth, as if they are all robots programmed to be the exact same way.

That’s not unfair because the moment you say you are entitled to be loved by someone, you are indirectly saying that someone in this world has an obligation to romantically love you, which goes against their actual legitimate right of free autonomous choice, and right to self-determination.
