For my case when someone tolds me ''you look good today in that suit!'' i'd say ''and you look beautiful always!'' and they always, ALWAYS blush, no matter if she is 18 or 60.

Had that happen recently while I was zooted out of my mind on an edible at a friend's wedding and I remember saying "you have good taste". She smiles and we spoke for a bit and then I left to go watch formula 1 with my cousin's husband under a table.

Yeah… in this situation, I try my best to take the focus off of me and into the other party.

So if someone did say that depending on the party i’de give compliments back to them. OR take the conversation or statement somewhere else.

When all else fails & ur just caught way off guard a simple thank you does not hurt.

But when people make me feel good it’s almost like they’re subconsciously opening the flood gates. I try my best not to “love bomb” but if it works… it works

my most common response is ”i know”. sometimes people get annoyed by this and say ”what? not even a thank you?” and i reply with ”why would i thank you for stating facts”. when my partner says i look good i usually just say ”you’re so lucky”

Now if you get a direct compliment like: You look good! I believe its better to just own it by saying thanks. You can "play" within a different conversation, or compliment them out of that conversation to let them feel your intends.

Not sure why you need to sound cute, cocky, or interesting. It may come off as arrogant and can quickly turn from admiration to being turned off.

It depends on the type of energy you want to put off.

I get complimented at least 20 times a day with at least one Pic request by both men and women, Young and old, straight, gay, white, black, just about everyone and the best response has been to make contact, smile, thank them and move on.

They always seem to respond very well. I believe most people are generally just looking to be acknowledged by you when they compliment, nothing more nothing less.

Plus I hear it so much it doesn't really register anymore but I still take my time to thank them. They may or may not know that someone like me hears it all day.
