As someone who experienced sexual abuse by a woman in his childhood, the issue of privacy for boys and men is very important to me. In this context, this is a very disappointing decision by the Berlin Senate (Parliament still needs to approve it).

"According to the draft legislation, half of the restrooms in a bar or restaurant will be reserved for women, as is currently the case. For the other half, the owner can decide whether men-only or unisex restrooms better suit their clientele. For a bar or restaurant with a floor space between 50 and 150 square meters, this would mean, for example, that two of the required four restrooms would be reserved for women. The owner can then determine the use of the other two."
