I'm negative about general moves towards intestate partner inheritance over child inheritance - in Scotland now a cohabitating partner can raise a claim in the courts up to what a spouse could receive and there have been a series of proposals to extend their protection and reduce/remove existing protections for (adult) offspring. With increased chances of it being a second family set-up at best, this partner preference just leads to your child being deprived.

But this guy is so extreme, it's really outrageous. Seven months?! Had they been together 3 years, he still should have no expectations of getting in the will. I'm glad she broke off with him, but I can't believe she even considered splitting it to please this entitled dreamer.
