I'm surprised at how many women here scored as masculine. I have to wonder if that's because some of the masculine traits in that quiz are things that are universally considered good, that women have been conditioned to want to think about themselves. For example, a lot of women would rate themselves as assertive or ambitious, even when that's not the case. My girlfriend, for example, seems to worry that she's more masculine than she really is. It's kind of obvious from the outside looking in, however, that she's generally soft and feminine.

But anyway, I took the quiz and scored 81% masculine, 22% feminine. And I'm a guy, so that makes sense.

that's uh...something I guess. I'm amused because if you were to see me, I'm very feminine in my appearance and never had any problems with the rituals of femininity (make up, clothing, shoes, hair, demeanor, weight management, hobbies, etc).

Update: Hey not that bad! - was genuinely expecting much worse on the masculine side haha. I did my best to stay objective even with the ones I knew were counting against me (Avoids cursing? Yes...Wait be honest, damn...no).

Update 2: But wait! - for your amusement, I answered questions how I'm sure I would have pre-RPW days. That is a lot more like it. I'm not surprised by that at all.

The biggest answers that changed were: Aggressive, Forceful, Dominant, Secretive, Yielding, Ambitious, Soothing, Willing to Take a Stand, Defends Own Opinions, Self-Reliant, Devoted, Not Afraid of Risk, Assertive, Tender

Most notable changes and why:

Aggressive/Forceful/Dominant/Yielding/Assertive are all kind of the same to me - I just feel like I don't have to prove those to anyone at this point; yes, I could bite someone's head off if I wanted to, but what's the motivation? Before I felt like I had a very Mean Girl attitude about those things.

Self-Reliant was the most interesting one to me, I don't feel any less capable than I did before, I just feel more honest with myself about what I do need help with instead of having an independent woman attitude; I don't think anything changed other than my awareness.

Willing to Take a Stand/Defends Own Opinions - again, I just don't feel the need to be prove things or be right so often anymore...what does it get me? (cough nothing).

Devoted/Soothing/Tender are all the qualities that lead me to RPW in the first place, so it makes me happy to see how I've improved them.

I would say #1 most significant improvement is on the devotion front; I used to be afraid of commitment which is how I wound up here. Now my natural instinct - it feels so good to call it natural and not forced anymore, is to defend my man like a fucking puma. Even the other day someone (a man, worse, a thirsty man, even worse) started talking smack about HB and I verbally slit his throat. I don't care that we broke up. I don't care we don't talk at all. I don't care that I'm over it. I don't care about any of that: I chose him and to insult him is to insult me and I'm not going to let another man speak ill of someone I hold in high regard, especially another man who isn't around - like a little rat. It pleases me to feel this progress internalized.

36% masculine and 61% feminine. Definitely scored high on the fem side due to being strongly introverted, shy and I happen to love kids! Otherwise I can be quite analytical and to the point, which I guess are considered to be more masculine traits. Thanks for linking the quiz!

I don't remember my exact numbers but it was somewhere around masculine 62% and feminine 58%. I had my husband take it and he's 28% masculine and 61% feminine. Then after we got our results he said, that's probably why we have problems because you expect me to be more masculine and I am put off when you act masculine.

So, it turns out the test was fairly accurate on all counts!
