The Archetypal Modern Woman: "She fucks uncountable alphas, ignoring the beta who likes her, through her years of youth & prettiness. she uses the last of her charms to husband-up the barely tolerable beta.

Former BP guys, remember when you were told that one day you'd "get lucky" and the right girl would come along if you were just patient enough? That after a while women "mature" and realize what's important in a man? This is what it actually was.

[–]Evil_Patriarch 213 points213 points213 points 12 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

I remember being told at a really young age (I think middle school) that I was the type of guy that girls married, and that's why I shouldn't get jealous of all the other guys getting action...because I would "win" in the end.

I don't know what's scarier, the fact that I actually believed that this was somehow "winning" for years.

Or the fact that guys are getting categorized into AF and BB at such a damn young age (and of course the BB are convinced that's the better category to be in)

If you want to go deeper down the rabbit hole, this applies to EVERY ASPECT OF SOCIAL REALITY. The idea of having a legacy, or making a ding in the universe. The idea of lots of people around your coffin, rather than nobody. The idea of self-actualization, of following your passion. ALL of it is chemicals in the brain. The universe will ultimately fade away into a lukewarm nothingness, and nothing will be left of any of us. There is no "winning" to be had. It's just one big cosmic jizzfest, and we're all amusing ourselves into the long, cold night.

Whatever life you choose to lead, be sure that it is of your choosing. Verify. Cross-examine. Question. There are some very miserable "Alphas" out there who simply trade the approval of one group for another. Live for yourself. You can be kind, but be kind for yourself. You can contribute, but contribute for yourself. If you're doing it hoping that others (or God, or the Universe, or some fairy or another) will validate or reward you, you're living a script.

Nothing wrong with that, of course. If that's what you want.

This is how I view RPT boiled down to the very basic point, thank you for this.

[–][deleted] 11 points12 points13 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Totally agree, it all starts with you, inside of you. Find out who you are, what your strengths are, what lights the fire inside of you to be great at (if anything) and then do that thing or things. That's it, that's life. Never ask "What is the meaning of life?" for there is none. Only ask: "What is the meaning of life... for me?"

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Sounds depressing!

[–][deleted] 11 points12 points13 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

[–]2wiseclockcounter 11 points12 points13 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

its very easy to see why religion is so appealing to the masses. To accept such a reality void of any inherent meaning is difficult for mankind as a whole. Only through repetition of simple properties of molecular interactions (and by extension human interactions) do we find the patterns that suggest an order, a consistency, a foundation on which to build our beliefs. However, to suggest that there is any design or benevolence to the universe is only to set ourselves up for disappointment once we are smacked by the cold hand of reality.

The only things worth holding onto in this world are free will and serendipity.

Same here. Before reading TRP I felt much pride at the fact that the mothers of the girls I took on dates were always telling their daughters to take it to the next level with me and were always so kind and showed much hospitality to me, they'd go "my mom never likes guys I go out with, but she really likes you.", "If she knows I'm with you she doesn't minds if we come home late". Mind you I live in a culture where people in general stay at their family's home until they marry. Many people do decide to try to be independent and move on their own, but it's a minority and it's more men than women who do this.

One girl did take it to the next level with me but it ended pretty bad and I couldn't understand what had happened there, and the ones who ignored their mothers advice would also make me feel puzzled, not only because both them and their mothers gave me validation as to how "amazing, good looking, generous, chivalrous, etc." I was, but girls would then go on about how they can't see themselves with me because I was "too good and noble", of course after this we would cease to see eachother as I had to take my space, but then I'd find out these girls were dating men who treated them like dirt. That really can mess up with your head and take your self-esteem to the ground. On the other side people would tell me that these girls eventually would realize what they "missed out on" and appreciate me once they were older and I'd be quite a catch by then, this was both comforting (I'll get lucky one day!) but I couldn't stop wondering "Why aren't I good enough now?".

Post RP all of this made sense, not only now I can tell I dodged some bullets in the long run, validation other people give me is cool and all but what only matters to me is the validation from myself, rather than demonize these women for their choices and play victim I see my own shortcomings and took responsibility of the things I can change. Woops I went on quite a rant there.

People will still shame you, even more the men than women, for seeing a sex worker. After all why pay for what you can get for free?

Though I think what Charlie Sheen said once applies: "I don't pay her to have sex, I pay her to leave"

All those social cues that make the ladies tingle also influence society at large. I got higher salaries and quicker promotions than the slobs around me because I am more physically fit, dress smarter, and have far better social skills than your hypothetical whoremonger.

Trust me, all the guys at the executive level have game. The wasteful spending of my youth was an investment I've made back in multiples. Your whoremonger doesn't climb. He doesn't have the drive, need, or the hunger. He never learned how to charm, to make instant friends of strangers, or how to ask for and close the deal.

I'm in my early 40s now and living quite well. Retire at 55? Never! When your chump is facing obsolescence, at risk of being replaced by a cheaper, fresh-faced college kid with newer skills, I will be in my prime earning years. Assuming I continue to climb the executive rungs, my annual salary could rival his 401k balance!

But even if I don't reach the top -- even if my career stalls and I'm forced to take an early exit -- it doesn't really matter. My savings will still equal or exceed his. But even that doesn't matter. Because when we're old and spent, gasping our last breaths on this Earth, which of us is going to be looking back on a fuller life? The chump with a parade of nameless whores, or me, with a lifetime of conquests? The monger who settled for "good enough", or the guy who took chances, seized opportunities, and lived life?

This is why players > chumps, gentlemen.

[–]FortunateHead -1 points0 points1 point 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

What's your career?

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

Prostitutes doesn't count as conquests. It's like watching a documentary on Mount Everest instead of actually climbing it.

[–]sweetleef 19 points20 points21 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Equating women with Mt. Everest and portraying them as some kind of valuable goal in and of themselves is a white-knight beta fantasy.

Women are not the conquest - they are a side-effect of the conquest.

[–][deleted] -3 points-2 points-1 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Women are far from equals to Everest, but seduction is similar to climbing mountains. I'm talking about achievement and perseverence, aspects of game that are lost when engaging in prostitution.

An attractive woman who is also good in bed is all that matters to some. I've never paid and its not legal in my state, Illinois.

I probably would on occasion. I learned awhile ago not to waste money on women who still wouldn't give me the time of day in favor of some douche. Right now I'm focusing on myself instead of chasing pointless tail.

What is this?

[–]zephyrprime 5 points6 points7 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I believe that the entire reason women age less well than men is that it is natures way of forcing women to stop and endless ride on the cock carousel and attend to more important matters like raising kids. Nature wants women to try for alpha cock for a while but playing any game forever is useless. Eventually, you just accept how high you rank and move on even if you are not at the top. Nature FORCES this on women by making them get fat and unattractive after a while.

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yeah stay away from skanks. Not all women are skanks.

[–][deleted] 3 points4 points5 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It is winning, in the same way that getting stuck with the check after a party of 20 is done dining is winning.

The scariest part is that this advice is coming from people you trust. Mother, sister, beta-dad, ...

And it stops you from improving it stops you from working on yourself.

[–]Falcario 11 points12 points13 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yup. My mom believes she raised me just right. She wanted me to be a guy that girls want to marry. Nope, she just created a passive aggressive bitch boy.

[–]zephyrprime 8 points9 points10 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Honestly, it's not that you're categorized a certain way. It's just that af/bb traits are innate and biological so they are visible even at a young age. People want to believe in the fantasy of true autonomy but in truth, biology determines a lot of things before you're even born.

[–]1BaltoSquadGuy 14 points15 points16 points 12 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Imagine being told by a couple of girls that you'd be the type of guy to make a good father. Cringe

[–]BooksofMagic 6 points7 points8 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

[–]Dark_Shroud 4 points5 points6 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Same here, either I was a disrespectful to women or I'd be a great father.

[–][deleted] 4 points5 points6 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The sad part about this is that when they say you'll make a good "father" they subconsciously may not even mean a biological father, they just mean that you'd be a good provider for their children from Alpha fucks.

[–]boredinclass2 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

wow is it sick and twisted that i laughed at this?

Then a feminist says you're a misogynist for believing you "deserve" a wife. You can't win.

[–]Dreamtrain 30 points31 points32 points 12 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

But they deserve a man to accept them if they let themselves go, balloon up and lose ambition in their lives. How dare he nudge her to improve herself physically and mentally, rather than accept her.

[+]JDoorjam -7 points-6 points-5 points 12 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

Can you show me one of these feminists people keep talking about who say, "you have to love me no matter how fat and lazy I get"?

[–]Dreamtrain 11 points12 points13 points 12 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

One of these? just one? how about all of them? just google "fat acceptance"

Granted I don't doubt a few of these women have endocrinal issues that keep them from losing weight through conventional manners and my heart goes to them and the things they must suffer, but the rest just ride on the bandwagon and demand and feel entitlement, when it's a choice in their case.

If you still want an isolated case be patient with me, I don't have a link readily available but a testimony or article pops every now and then.

[–]JDoorjam 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

I totally asked the wrong question, because a quick google of "love me when I'm fat" turned up thousands and thousands of pages of people, mostly women, complaining that they'd gained "only" 30-50 pounds and their husbands weren't attracted to them anymore.

I guess what I had meant was, is that a feminist thing, or is that just a people-too-lazy-to-stay-hot-for-their-SO thing?

[–]joejahner 5 points6 points7 points 12 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

There's a difference?

[–]JDoorjam 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Yeah, feminists are generally as engaged or lazy or obsessively fit or morbidly obese as everybody else. And, believe it or not, there are ardent feminists who put in the work to stay hot -- I've dated a few.

[–]boredinclass2 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

"feminist" is an overused, berated, and contorted word. I shit you not, I had an arguement with a girl who claimed to be a "third wave feminist" last weekend... we go ring around the rosie until she says (and i quote)," boredinclass, I'm a doctor, I know biology, all Im saying is that men are obviously better than women at some things, and women are better at men in other areas... why not push boys AND girls to do what they are good at?"

needless to say i smiled and informed her that she was pro-gender-roles and that she was in direct violation of the 3rd wave fembots' agenda. much lulz were had.

[–]14931125 5 points6 points7 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yeah its scary to think maybe those comments had shaped who you identified with and who you became.

I notice that peoples personalities can be formed around the smallest of events.

What would have happend if you had by chance some events that made you alpha, and then years of years of that mindset reinforced itself.

The good thing is we can choose who we want to be.

[–]DaphneDK 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

I remember being told at a really young age (I think middle school) that I was the type of guy that girls married, and that's why I shouldn't get jealous of all the other guys getting action...because I would "win" in the end.

It's not like guys don't classify girls in the same manner. Some are wifey material, others are not. Should the wifey material girls be jealous of all the action the sluts are getting, or happy that they're far more likely to win out in the end and find a good husband?

[–]2popthatpill 3 points4 points5 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Should the wifey material girls be jealous of all the action the sluts are getting

Of course not - getting laid is like falling off a log for women. Why would something so facile be a source of jealousy?

[–]TheSKSpecial 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

The difference is that the wifey material girl still has the ability to get all the "action" if she so chooses. Being the husband material pretty much guarantees you'll struggle to get laid until the sluts decide to settle or by some stroke of luck you find the wifey material girl...who promptly realizes that since you're husband material that she doesn't have "chemistry" with you and thus she's not interested anyway.

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Should the wifey material girls be jealous of all the action the sluts are getting, or happy that they're far more likely to win out in the end and find a good husband?

It's actually the other way around for women. Getting sex is like burping for women. Getting commitment from a sexy successful Alpha man is the challenge. The sluts are actually jealous of the wifey material girls because they know that the wifey material girls are worth more to men than they are. Hence, why feminist are always trying to shame men for their "Madonna/Whore" complex.

[–]dsav2 47 points48 points49 points 12 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Good marriage material means that you're stable.

If you read between the lines, stable is codeword for $$$$$.

Any man who marries a woman who is settling for him is just a disaster waiting to happen.

[–]einexile 12 points13 points14 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

If you want to be sure you've got a good woman, try running out of money.

[–]1whatsazipper 4 points5 points6 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Only problem there is if the lack of money ultimately chips away at your frame (failure getting to you), which will push away the good women too, but over a longer period of time.

Plenty of women will fuck an attractive man who is broke, and yet barely give any real (non-transactional) sex for a man who is unattractive but reasonably well off.

[–]TheSKSpecial 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

You don't even have to run out of money. Just pretend that you did and see who sticks around.

In a way it is true, she will come along, but it shouldn't be because someone had no choice but to "settle" for a more stable guy. It should be because you took control of your life, became an attractive man in all senses and through social circles and the like meeting different women, you were able to eventually choose the best woman for you. Of course, they never tell you the last part, if anything they discourage you for it: "You are amazing just the way you are", "you don't need muscles, girls don't really like them, it's the personality", "Don't change".

[–][deleted] 9 points10 points11 points 12 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Yes, this is it, there could well be a girl who is good for you. But to get her you'll need to have worked for it, earned it. If a girl just happens to show up one day, it's not because she's "right", it's because she wants something

[–]Dreamtrain 14 points15 points16 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Many of the Nice Guys™ behave the way they do because they have been (mis)taught that if they give, women will in turn give in proportion, so they also want something.

You reap what you sow, even if you have been taught and convinced the seeds were good.

[–]Senior Contributorexit_sandman 75 points76 points77 points 12 years ago (19 children) | Copy Link

Thank you, now I have to throw up.

Preferably on a woman who refuses calling this behavior what it actually is: The shameless using of another person and calling it Love (with capital L) without blushing.

A woman who asks more of you than from her past lovers before she puts out isn't worth it, and never will be.

[–]1whatsazipper 71 points72 points73 points 12 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

Easy way to avoid that is to date women who are sexually attracted to you. They don't make you jump through hoops because they want to jump on your cock.

If you aren't finding that, then you might have to put in a bit of work to your lifestyle and sexual strategy.

[–]icanteventhecat 17 points18 points19 points 12 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

This is actually extremely good advice, and I'm shocked I hadn't thought of this. The only real relationships I've ever had (i.e., not "dating" for weeks/months before action) were with women who wanted sex within meetings.

The only problem is that many of those women might just be looking to hook up. For some guys, that's perfect, but for others, hook-ups are unsatisfactory. Still, sex > no sex.

[–]1whatsazipper 9 points10 points11 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

You may have to sort through hook-ups (such a tragedy), but women are honest with their bodies. It's a pre-requisite for all successful relationships. Similarly when the sex slows, you have hit some troublem; when it's gone, relationship cooked, toast.

[–]icanteventhecat 13 points14 points15 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

women are honest with their bodies

That's important. I'd rather date an honest slut who expresses her desires clearly than a manipulator who uses sex as leverage. I recently ended a promising fledgling relationship (i.e., she already put out) when the woman made a u turn on her willingness to have sex until I "properly dated" her. If that makes me the jerk who only wants sex, so be it.

[–]1independentmale 3 points4 points5 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

If that makes me the jerk who only wants sex, so be it.

I've owned it, too. Really, there's little else a woman can do for me that I'm not already doing for myself. Clean my house, do my laundry, cook food, pay bills? I got all that handled.

What do I need a woman for? Sex and companionship, in that order. Hell, I can get the companionship from a dog for a fraction of the price, so that pretty much just leaves sex.

high SMV when she was at her peak and the low RMV of her current partner.

Long before I started reading this sub I used to call this "residual self image" as in the Matrix. If you're a 5 trying to hit on another 5, but she used to be an 8, you're probably going to have a bad time.

[–][deleted] -1 points0 points1 point 12 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

You can be a 3, as long as you have a RMV of 8, she'll "settle"

Its the "settle" part that is the problem.

Interesting anecdote in regards to your last sentence: girl I know has long had a thing for alpha cock, since high school. Currently she's dating a guy who is definitely alpha, Army Ranger, Sergeant, helps disadvantaged kids and does MMA. And HE'S the one who won't put his dick in her until they're married(supposedly). I know the guy and his pastor. Sounds legit. I know this drives her nuts. I'd love some analysis of this situation.

[–]Senior Contributorexit_sandman 12 points13 points14 points 12 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Alpha with morals, a special case, and insofar different because she doesn't really "settle" since the guy actually has value.

The fact that women have a weaker sex drive than men and tend to use sex as a currency to "buy" commitment doesn't mean that they don't like it per se. If the guy is right, they actually love it, otherwise they would probably be a lot more prudent when it comes to granting sexual favors - it's just that most of them aren't that much into giving sex but not getting commitment.

I'll try it with a comparison: Nice GuysTM give commitment but don't get sex. These poor schlubs actually want to be in a committed relationship that includes intimacy and, of course, sex, and don't just see commitment as a means to an end. In fact, I guess many actually want to worship their GF and don't just do it out of fear of losing her if they don't. However, when they give commitment but receive nothing in return, they're left frustrated (feminists, of course, spin this in a way that they're the bad guys by insinuating that it was all about sex, since no man can be capable of romanticism without a hidden agenda).

[–]SenorPuff 3 points4 points5 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

I attributed it to a form of rejection. She's probably an 8, and is used to being an object of attraction. Now this guy comes along and doesn't fall for that bag. So not only is her power play up, but she's also, for some reason 'not attractive enough' in her mind, for him to sleep with her. He holds all the power.

[–]rpkarma -1 points0 points1 point 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

[–][deleted] 44 points45 points46 points 12 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

Society constructs a narrative for you to follow before you have the cognitive abilities to choose your own narrative. This is not inherently problematic, this narrative helps kids and teenagers stay on a decent path that keeps them out of trouble, keeps them focused on education, and so on. It becomes very problematic, however, when this constructed narrative is forced upon kids in their vulnerable stages to such an extreme, to the point that this act damages their cognitive abilities and ruins their ability to choose their own narrative when they are ready.

The cynics would say this is the whole damn point - why else do public education and single moms work so hard to cripple the natural confidence / independent nature of boys. I would say it's just women and men who were similarly trapped into an unsatisfying sham of a life (beta bucks + postwall hamster, very little attraction or polarity between either of them, every day is a fakery). They want to feel better about this sham; they HAVE to feel better about this sham to continue it, so they act like it is the only normal, good way to live, and other people are weird deviants. Narcissists, antisocials, misogynists, jerks, actually self-hating on the inside and miserable, etc. To convince oneself, often a person goes about trying to sell that idea to everyone else around them. It is truly a narcissistic thing to do, but it does helps the mother or father feel better about marrying a beta / being a beta.

Ultimately these women miss the ultimate prize, however. Which is of course, alpha bucks. A man of (relatively) alpha traits and status, who is also willing to commit and provide for her, because she is just the top of the pyramid herself. This is truly what women want, not necessarily alpha fucks, but an alpha fucks who has, in addition to raw masculinity, leadership, a little danger, etc the resources and stability to provide well for her and your kids. A lot of alphas fucks types are not actually successful financially compared to beta bucks who just chased the careers society told them too. DJs, aspiring artists, musicians, broke but ripped dudes, personal trainers, junkies, gang types, bartenders, etc. The cock carousel has representation in all income brackets. The high-risk, high-reward tendency of alphas leaves them pretty distributed on the income scale, whereas most betas who just did what they are told will make it into middle class / middle-upper class. At least, this is how it was in the 90s.

9s and 10s who also happen to have a good head on their shoulders will be able to get this true minority - the alphas who have just enough provider / stability to be a good father. 9s and 10s without good heads on their shoulders will ride the carousel until they are 30, and then realize that they are now about a 7 or 8, and thus those guys are long gone. By trying to game the system and get all the AF they can without losing their BB mealplan pass, these girls ironically lose out on basically the only thing that would make them happy and be best for their DNA's nature and nurture - an "AB".

The fault lies completely with these "beta" men that marry 30 year old women with previous boyfriends.

If men are interested in chaste wives, you pretty much have to marry early, as in your early 20s.

It's men that have given away their wedding vows so cheaply. I thought the manosphere types say that men are the guardians of commitment? If that's true, it's the Archetypal Modern Man that is a "relationship slut" giving it up so easily.

Definitely this. The blue pill certainly doesn't want this; he just thinks that's his lot in life; he can't get any better, so he'll take what he can get to avoid being a lonely reject. He then has to hamster his way into rationalising why he can accept this deal, because he's kinda stuck with it; like the little boy who spends all his pocket money on a crap games console, then feels the need to ferverously defend it from all criticism.
The blue piller definitely does not want this, and he is very unhappy about it. You can't really blame the blue pill beta for this; he's just making the best of what he thinks his hand is, and he hasn't managed to break out of his conditioning yet.

Let's be real tea here for a second, 99% of the girls you meet are going to have previous boyfriends, and possibly some slutty times in their life (slut phase).

Trying to marry a "chaste" woman in your early 20's is fucking retarded. You're gonna get married in your early 20s? Enjoy the divorce is all I will say about that.

A girl's past matters, but not as much as you guys are thinking. The slut in this article though bragged and blogged about it. It was her whole identity. That's the problem here, not that she had a previous bf.

If you're honestly looking for 'chaste' or boyfriendless girls in 2014, either you're gonna wife up an unfuckable fatass or a liar. I don't know which is worse

[–]TheSKSpecial 13 points14 points15 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Therein lies the rub, and why TRP is so strongly anti-marriage. Because there aren't that many women (at least, in the West) who aren't having "slut phases" today, which tends to lead to being shitty wives and mothers in the future. As a man, why attempt to invest in a woman who doesn't have the respect for herself not to spread it open for any man who's given her the tingles?

Feminism has convinced women that being slutty (but don't call them "slutty" because that's shaming) is a badge of honor now, because they're "experienced".

So, you can either enjoy fucking sluts with the knowledge you'll never find a quality wife among the bunch, you can hope and pray you'll find a unicorn here, or you can go abroad and find a woman from a society that still wants women to be feminine.

[–][deleted] 3 points4 points5 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

And to make things worse you have the married as a virgin, here's frneds talk about wild sex, thinks she is missing something then cheats/''opens'' relationship to see what she's missing.

Which is partly why I don't intend to marry. Marriage is no longer a good idea for men.

That said, when I did intend to marry before, I dated and got into serious relationships with very high quality women who were attractive virgins.

[–][deleted] 3 points4 points5 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Marriage is ok if you do it right. It does add a level of commitment to a relationship, and it can also be what you want. The girl I'm currently dating/considering marrying later is ok with us "having fun" with other girls, so I wouldn't mind possibly marrying her later if it's something she still needs to have kids. We'll see

What country was that in? And how can you confirm, unless you fucked them? I don't know any girls over 21 who are attractive and virgins these days, plus I don't know why you guys are so hung up on virginity. You can marry a virgin and she can cheat after, or you can marry a girl who's had sex before and she will be loyal to you. It depends more on how you act then whether or not she's a virgin.

There's always mormon girls.

I was always blown away by how hot the mormon girls were in high school, but sadly at the time I was too busy mocking the religion and being the anti-religion liberal atheist feminist that I have since grown to hate. If you want to ask casual sexual partners about how many guys they've fucked before, go ahead. If you think in any way that makes you look alpha, it doesn't - it's beta as hell. Why not ask how many guys she has kissed then too?

Current behavior > what she did 10 years ago. And if you think you'd get a real # from a girl who doesn't want to look like a slut, then you're kidding yourself. Like I said, "If she has that much of a fucked up past, it'll come out eventually when you're still in the 'casual dating' phase."

[–]TheSKSpecial 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

We're talking about marriage and starting a family, not casual sex. Of course it doesn't matter if you're just looking to fuck, but if you want more than that, you'd be better off asking so you can be ready to next her than not asking and being the next contestant on "Are You Your Kid's Father?"

[–]nsummy -1 points0 points1 point 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Marriage and starting a family almost always starts out as casual sex. If you are sleeping with the girl and immediately start asking questions about how many guys she has slept with, that is beta jealous behavior. If a girl started jamming me with questions like that I would lose her immediately.

Now if you are getting married and starting a family and want to know, well thats fine. But what if you find out she's fucked 40 other guys before you? What are you going to do? Call off the wedding, say you don't like her anymore? That again is jealous beta behavior.

Its not black and white as you are suggesting. Just because a girl has slept with a lot of guys doesn't mean you are going to be needing a paternity test on Maury. I've been with a wide range of girls and without a doubt the ones who have had more partners are easier going. The ones who have slept with a few guys are always in your business.

[–]TheSKSpecial 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago* (1 child) | Copy Link

Marriage and starting a family almost always starts out as casual sex.

Er...no they don't. It's only been within the past few decades that people were having casual sex without entertaining the idea of commitment and marriage. Before then men would trade their commitment and provisions for the women's sex and ability to nurture. It's only recently that women have been able to give up sex without needing a man's provisions. Great deal for the women who could now fuck the hot guys who can't provide, not so much for the guys who could provide but aren't hot enough for the women to want.

If you are sleeping with the girl and immediately start asking questions about how many guys she has slept with, that is beta jealous behavior.

Nobody said ask her as soon as you start sleeping with her. But you should ask if you were seriously considering an LTR or marriage with her. It's not beta jealous behavior to know just who the fuck you're choosing to give your commitment to.

But what if you find out she's fucked 40 other guys before you? What are you going to do? Call off the wedding, say you don't like her anymore? That again is jealous beta behavior.

Damn straight call off the wedding. Why would you risk your future and 50% (or more) of your assets on someone who has already shown such risky behavior? That's not jealous, that's being smart. Better you call off the wedding, break it off, and keep your shit than go through with it in the hopes it doesn't fuck up your life.

Would you hire someone who has been fired from 40 jobs in the hopes that maybe this time they'll be different? Would you give a loan to somebody who's been sued by 40 credit card companies for non-payment?

Its not black and white as you are suggesting. Just because a girl has slept with a lot of guys doesn't mean you are going to be needing a paternity test on Maury.

It doesn't guarantee it, sure. But do you really want to risk half your life and your financial future to make that bet?

Feel free to wife up the town bike if you want to. But if shit goes south you can't say you weren't warned.

If you're talking about marriage, then I'd ask how many relationships they've been in. You can ask about sexual partners, you probably will get a made up answer, and if she fucked 8 guys when she was 17 and now she's 26, I don't think it's as important as fucking 8 guys in the past year

But again, if you've dated her for a while her character should speak for itself and you should really know what she's like and if she's an undercover slut (stupid shit like being slutty when drunk, etc)

Apart from the fact that just being religious isn't enough, you actually have to adher to her religion. And even though I am a "lapsed Catholic" in the best sense of the word, changing religions would be a dealbreaker in itself for me.

The "fault" lies with the beta men?

As has been frequently pointed out to explain the sexual choices of alphas, sexual strategy is amoral. Mating has always been a game, there have always been winners and losers no matter how the game has been structured. It is not the job of anyone to surrender options to increase the playability of the game for other players. If a man fails to marry in his early twenties, and fails to become very wealthy or famous or alpha, and finds himself in an unfortunate position where a post-wall chick is his best option, he should stop whining and take that option and be a man about it. No-one should blame him and he should blame no-one.

Sexual strategy is amoral, and alphas aren't the only ones that applies to.

You can't be serious. Dude you will never get married if you think like that. Part of being alpha is not getting all butthurt about some girls past. Easy then:

6-10 would fuck

Higher numbers indicate more likely to fuck. Think of the "maybe with a little booze" as a number adjuster. It may bump 3 or 4 points if you are drunk enough (which is how the 2's get laid).

She's the COO of facebook - you don't get there without being adept at power play and politics. She's a feminist teaching women how to get more power, be manipulative and come out on top. What else would you expect?

Anything can happen when it comes to dating, so I'll cut her some slack if she flakes once - odds are she doesn't play some retarded mind games and really has a good reason for not being able to makes it.

However, after that I expect her to plan it in a way that she can be completely certain that her schedule won't screw with the date the next time - because if she really wants that date, she will make it happen. If she doesn't, then she most probably doesn't regret that she didn't make it the first time and either way isn't too hot on dating you.

This is an example of the real reason I fucking hate seeing a beta getting married. It bails out women who lived lives like hers. If enough men are cowed into marrying women after their med-20s (I would even argue marrying women at all), then there is nothing to make women hesitate from treating men like she did.

This is the reason why I won't just "keep TRP to myself". Sure, I'll avoid the trigger words, but men need to collectively agree to dedicate themselves to not rewarding women for this behavior. You cannot have a significant chunk of men, beta or not, facilitating this.

This is a trend that cannot be stopped by ONE person personally deciding they won't marry. Now you're just part of a statistic. It has to be a wide spread phenomena. It has to be such that women seriously doubt their ability to lock up a husband EVER, if they don't quit this shit.

Monogamy isn't dead yet, but it's on it's last breath. When you have a patient whose heart is failing them, you resuscitate them. That means you give them an electric shock that completely stops the heart from beating. The heart then resuscitates using it's own internal electric pulse. This is what monogamy needs. It needs a couple of generations to writhe under the currents. It needs to get worse before it gets better. It needs to get so bad that women stop questioning their "state of human enlightenment" and start questioning what really separates them from animals in the first place.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Yeah, but in the f***ing meantime I gott knock one of those awful and poor excuses for women up if I want kids. What the hell?

[–]CreepAcceptance 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

As someone who's not (yet/now) interested in kids I see it's easy to choose ONS/FWB/plates forever and be successful but for those men who want to start a family are up shit creek. TRP gives you some tools towards that end, but it's not a pretty situation.

[–][deleted] 3 points4 points5 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Her's what I would do: first, investigate all avenues for single fatherhood. Look up state and federal laws regarding surrogate mothers. Then seriously consider moving out of country. There's a whole world out there, and if you have the career skills to handle it, you can make most places your home.

If you go domestic, go young. No matter what, go young. Younger women don't just have all the benefits you'll read about here regarding personality; they're also more fertile and healthier. Healthier as in less years slutting it around and possibly contracting an STD. We don't talk about STDs enough in this sub.

[–]dubknight 10 points11 points12 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

She’s getting married to beta boy and is talking about becoming a mommy. In a shocking twist, it turns out beta boy was actually someone she first met “around the same time that I wrote that first hookup essay".

This classic scenario was explained in Sperm Wars. She gets knocked up by the alpha, then quickly finds a beta to raise his child and seed another. Alpha's child get provided for (where alpha would not have provided), and the family's gene pool gets diversified with the second child. Damn nature, you scary!

[–][deleted] 9 points10 points11 points 12 years ago (10 children) | Copy Link

If I am a beta, how am I supposed to know whether or not a woman is settling to marry me or actually loves me?

[–][deleted] 16 points17 points18 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Look at your life and what value you bring to it that can be shared with her. Is she joining you on your life's journey & sharing in your activities/hobbies/life experiences or is she joining you FOR you life i.e. beta bucks.

[–]Dreamtrain 13 points14 points15 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

There is no "lifehack" or easy way to tell, you simply have to get to know her (which is what dating really is when your objective is LTRs) and be capable of judging her character.

But I have noted this in some cases, really hope it doesn't comes to this for you, but basically prior to the wedding day or when she feels the engagement is close, these women will talk about their life/future together nonstop and at first it may seem like she is really happy about their union but her language might give her away, she will talk about her expectations for her wedding, the dress, the decoration, the guests, the sights she will see on her honeymoon perhaps, the house she dreams of down to the color, the location, the children, perhaps just a girl and a boy, or a girl and a boy and twins! Quitting her day job to invest time on a hobby of hers that may or may not provide income on the side, but rarely, seldom, will she mention her husband. In these cases, the husband is just a means for an end.

[–]TheSKSpecial 7 points8 points9 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

One thing to do is get her sexual history. Tactfully, of course. Don't ask "how many dicks have you sucked in your life?". When you're talking about past relationships, give her the impression you won't judge her on them and she'll open right up. Then proceed from there with the information you've gained.

If she's "had a lot of fun" and spent a lot of time "finding herself" while dating "bad boys/jerks/players/assholes" but is quick to tell you how "she's changed" and she's "happy you're not like that", then she slutted it up in the past and is looking to settle now. Stay away. And if she's over 30, run.

Reality - he bought a house, and went all home depot on it, trying to craft a perfect homestead for marriage. Naturally she lost all attraction and admitted as much. This hamstered into her statement of "bad timing".

[–]ColdEiric 15 points16 points17 points 12 years ago* (9 children) | Copy Link

Women react to men who give away commitment in the same way men react to women who give away sex.

Women hate the sluts who give sex for free, when they want to sell it for a higher price. In the same way, we hate men who commit to substandard women, because the betas drop the qualities women are supposed to have.

[–][deleted] 8 points9 points10 points 12 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link

we hate men who commit to women

Really? I don't see that anywhere. I have no problem with guys committing to women and haven't ever seen a guy who does unless it means losing your favorite drinking buddy, but that's really a selfish concern than a reaction to commitment concern.

[–]RojoEscarlata 6 points7 points8 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The thing is that beta men in relationships like we are discussing are very big part of the problem.

If men didn't put with shit like that, the women wouldn't do shit like that.

[–]FullRegalia 3 points4 points5 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

I think he should have worded it better, obviously committing to the right girl is respectable in my eyes. It's what a good man should do, because that way we can raise good children and hopefully redirect our countries course over time.

But it's when orbiters over-enthusiastically commit themselves to a "princess" that we see a woman's ego/view on men change for the worse. Since betas are always there, the girl does not consider it necessary to become a traditional wife with high RMV and SMV. Because the betas are always there, always orbiting, she can assume that her RMV and SMV are not dependent on one another. Betas always treat them as if they have high RMV regardless their SMV. Modern feminism and our culture teaches women that they can fuck as many 'alphas' as they want because betas will always be there in the end.

The fact that betas continue awarding these woman high romantic market value only works to reinforce this phenomenon. Thus, the idiotic commitment given by betas towards woman does work to perpetuate the current reality.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

It may perpetuate it, but I don't see men "commitment shaming" as a reaction.

[–]Senior Contributorexit_sandman 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Because you can't rationalize commitment-shaming as easily as slut-shaming.

[–]CreepAcceptance 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Agree, if a guy wants to sell himself into commitment then no problem. My problem with it is that they're doing it without knowing the consequences and what they're giving up. I see TRP as a giant knowledge base to help men make more aware decisions in this area - hence why it's so hated.

If you want to marry, fully aware of the risks, then have at it.

[–][deleted] -1 points0 points1 point 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Nice gas-lighting.

You intentionally omitted the word 'substandard' from your quote.

troll much?

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Actually, the quote was accurate when I took it. The parent comment was edited after my response.

I have no intention of trolling here. I just fail to see any anger in the male population as a reaction to men committing to substandard women. I might feel pity for those men. My opinion of their self esteem and confidence will definitely be affected. But I've never known a man to hate another man because they committed to a woman, except in the occassional case where the newly committed man isolated himself from their older friends as a result. In the case of isolation though, the anger is not directed at the committement, but rather at the extreme devaluing of the friendship in favor of a sexual relationship.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I stand corrected.

I read his comment differently though. While I agree that most men, especially beta men, don't give a rats ass about who another man marries, us Red Pill-ers do. I dislike seeing men getting taken advantage of by substandard women. I dislike the fact that women can whore and still find plenty of chumps to marry them, and I don't respect the men who happily take the deal.

[–]pleasedontknowme30 4 points5 points6 points 12 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

hmmmm...if a guy goes to a club and a girl is like, "lets fuck"...there is a high statistical chance he will take that. So I am not sure I follow how that is the 'same way'

he's saying, I think, that women who freely give away sex, are labeled as sluts, whereas men who give away commitment, are labeled as betas.

Once she does that house is gonna get her wet, and most likely, there will be a guy who will be all too happy to provide it to her and cross his fingers every day of his marriage that another guy won't appear who will make her believe she's young and attractive again. It's not her fault though, really, it's men who do this to themselves.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

The guy was shooting out of his league. If she were a troll and he a CEO/model things would have ended differenly. The home buyer will end up with a fugly and will resist commitment until all hope is lost of a hottie replacement. I just went straight to the fugly to skip all the in between.

Someone help me out a little bit..I always feel contradictions when I read these things. So it seems the red pill is somewhat against the "independent woman"..yet this article highlights her art degree, which you can't do shit with, as a negative. If she had gone to school and gotten an engineering degree (or similar, i.e. a degree with career upside), not relying on any man for financial support, would that be viewed as a positive or negative thing?

[–]TheSKSpecial 6 points7 points8 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Depends on what she's doing with the degree. If she's using it to become a "career-driven, strong, independent" woman who might one day want to have kids when she's in her late 30s/40s, it's a negative because she's going to end up wasting her prime years feeling "unfulfilled" from chasing titles and accolades but never being the nurturer and care-giver female animals are biologically driven to be.

If she did it but still wants to be a more traditional wife and mother in her youth, it's more of a positive. Shows she can handle stress but is still willing to be a wife and mother.

[–]sushisection 8 points9 points10 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

You are correct, except males in western society are taught exactly the opposite.

And trp does not preach hate towards women, but rather an awareness of how they act.

[–]erwgv3g34[S] 10 points11 points12 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I don't hate her, I just recognise what you said - she's seeking to maximise her gain in the market with what assets she has and buyers are available. Likewise, I'm trying to maximise my return in the same market.

Articles like this serves to educate you on what the market landscape is like and who's playing the game. Use the information as you wish and act accordingly. Alpha fux, beta bux or anything else it's up to you.

[–]pupplenupple 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Exactly. She'll get precisely the man who thinks she is his best option right now. Could she have had a different man if she'd made different choices this past 20 years? Sure. Could he have had a different woman if he'd made different choices this past 20 years? Sure. Should we be straight out advising either of them to "run" based upon the small amount of info in that story? No. Both of them are fully grown adults and there is no sign that either of them is an ax-murderer. Chances are that if they are willing to have each other they are each at least as flawed as the other and present similar levels of risk. Let 'em have at it.

If a woman tells a story about a breakup or divorce where in her past she:
-"had a lot of fun"
-"was wild in her college days"
-"dated a lot of jerks/assholes/bad boys"
-"single mom" (and the father isn't dead)

and then "got tired of the games" and, "thought she found the one/Prince Charming/her soul mate/best friend" But it didn't work out because "she didn't feel loved or wanted/she felt controlled or trapped", she was a slut who settled down with a beta. The relationship subreddits have a lot of these stories.

Also, "beta" =/= "sexually inexperienced".

EDIT: it doesn't even have to be a breakup story, if when she talks about her relationship she describes herself and her SO in these terms, she was a slut that settled for a beta. If she's near or over 30 it's damn near a guarantee.

Alpha has more to do with status than looks, for one. Two, alphas don't settle because women aren't attracted to them anymore, they settle because they get tired of the game and the chase.

In short, alphas settle on their own terms, they aren't forced to settle because no one (hot) wants to fuck them anymore.

Being a beta though isn't so terrible.

50 years ago, sure. You could be a beta, lead your household, and still have a feminine wife suitable to raise a family with. Nowadays? Not so much.

[–][deleted] -2 points-1 points0 points 12 years ago (15 children) | Copy Link

I mean you don't have to lead your household necessarily. You and your wife can co-lead(not the best word i know) the house. Its a team job. Hell even if you are an alpha it still should be a team job.

[–]TheSKSpecial 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (14 children) | Copy Link

Women generally don't want to lead the household. That's the point, they'd rather defer to a man to make the big decisions.

This is why one of the most common themes in TRP is that as a man you need to become more assertive. If a woman has to make all the decisions for you as a man, she's going to start viewing you as a child. And many an LTR/marriage failure has come from men deferring leadership and responsibility to their women.

I wouldn't agree with that. I mean i know a few women here and there who want men to lead the household(usually more conservative women) but overrall where i live in Maryland most women want power. They want to have the ability to have a say in the family. And to be fair when you think about it the woman almost has more power in the family. they take of their kids, often make dinner, clean the house, and even work a job at the same time all the while trying to have her own free time. I just think TRP underestimates women sometimes ya know? Thankfully this subreddit is not as bad as MRW. That shit is rediculous

They say they want power, but how many of them have families where they're the primary breadwinner and the husband stays at home? How long have those relationships lasted? How often do you see marriages/LTRs where the woman is in charge and is primary breadwinner last more than, say...10 years? It's rare. Almost mythical. The divorce rate isn't climbing for no reason.

It's funny you mention both "take care of their kids" and "work a job at the same time", when logic dictates that when they're working a job that they're not home to take care of their kids. They're paying somebody else (usually a mother who has her own kids) to do it. Ditto for cleaning. And cooking? It's rare to find a woman under 30 nowadays who can do more than punch in numbers on the microwave or the the phone for takeout. So you've got women who claim to want power and claim to do it all, but in actuality aren't. Watch their actions, not their words.

What does her husband want? You think she cares?

This goes back to my initial point, when a woman was able to focus on taking care of the household, the man could be a good beta, working tirelessly to provide for his family, because he knew he had a loving wife who wanted and was able to take care of him. She didn't have to worry about the stresses of a job, and he didn't have to worry about the stresses of a household. True partnership.

Now, you've got men who are being good betas, trying to be the classic provider, but they're busting their asses to provide for women with bastard kids, women who see marriage as the hangover after the dream wedding, women who see their kids as trophies for validation, women who despise them for not being the alpha who takes charge.

Everything but women who can be selfless enough to put their own ego aside, not spend her youth fucking everything under the sun, and devoting time learning how to be a good wife these beta providers wished they had.

EDIT: there's a reason women are the highest percentage of anti-depressant users today, even though they have more "freedom" than their mothers and grandmothers ever had, and it's not from "rape culture", or "the patriarchy". They're trying to out-"men" men, and it's driving them crazy.

Well my mom made twice as much as my dad did and cooks meals that can take upwards of 3 hours to make. I know many families where that is the case. Women and men are essentially the same thing. Other than genitals and a few biological dispositions we are ultimately the same thing. Everyone on TRP or MRW tries to bitch about women because they have such bizarre misconceptions about not only relationships but also about women in general. Seriously have you all talked to women. They are real people who can make real decisions, have real skills, and even be equal to men.

Serious question, how old are you? I ask this because I'm getting the impression you're a teenager (no offense, we were all young once). You point to your parents, but did your mom actually raise you when you were a kid, or did you spend more time in daycare or with a babysitter/nanny than you did with her? Does (or did) your dad seem like he wasn't happy? Did he ever tell you about things he used to like to do before he got married? You say she "made" more as in past tense, did she stop? If so, why? (EDIT: does he have to ask her for permission to do anything that won't involve her? Does he have any male friends?)

Be honest with me or not, I don't care, but ask yourself these questions. Many an RPer here has been in your position (or your dad's) being the "good beta", doing everything a "good husband" is supposed to do, but ending up either cheated on or on the ugly end of a divorce because their wives (or mothers) were the same as yours.

Women and men are in no uncertain terms not the same thing. Not even close. Not even in the same ballpark. And by "few biological dispositions", you mean "all biological dispositions".

You ask have we all talked to women. If we never talked to women we wouldn't be here. Read the "Men Are Not Happy" post stickied at the top of the sub, because it's one of the most accurate descriptions of TRP there is. We talk to women, but we also see that what they say and what they do are usually in complete conflict with each other. And no one in the past was willing to ask why, or come up with any actual reasoning.

I'm 19. I did spend time in a daycare for 3 years but then my parents took me out. I spent plenty of time with them. Yes, during the work week they both worked late so i was on my own but that didn't really affect anything. For the most part i still was able to spend a good amount of time with them. My dad seems pretty happy. He does what he loves. He cooks, goes to sports games, goes out, etc. He doesn't drink or party as much as he used to but nobody does really when you get to his age, i should also point out my parents got married relatively late in life like mid 30's so he kinda did get more party time than the average person probably does.

To the best of my knowledge my dad has never cheated. My parents actually rarely fight at all actually. They never get in disagreements or go on playing the no talking game. They obviously have spats here and there but as they've gotten older it's died pretty hard.

And yes my mom did stop with her one job where she was making the big bucks but thats cause she didn't need to work there. When i say she was making a lot i mean a lot by most peoples standards and she had a 2 hours commute everyday and that got tiring and she went into semi retirement, again my parents got married late and had me late so its not like she did this in her 30's or 40's im talking in her 50's.

My dad is pretty does what he wants to do when he wants. Granted we all usually tell each other where we are going or when we are about to do something or whatever but he never needs to ask for permission. I know for a fact my mom never cheated tho. She has too much morality and came from a broken home as is.

To be honest though you seem much more sensible than most people. How old are you?

Women want power true, but they don't want to work for it, they want it handed to them, they'd rather be wife to the ceo or first lady than take the reins as they come with responsibility.

I can't remember where but a politician who was recently asked about the lack of women in politics basically admitted that all the right programs/incentives where in place, all the chances where there women just weren't interested.

[–][deleted] -1 points0 points1 point 12 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

I'm gonna call bs. Watch some news talk shows and even many politicians and here them make excuses for women like they're too hormonal or emotional for politics while if a man cries he is seen as passionate

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

Look at all the special woman only programs and funds, they stretch to politics too, it's the same for a lot of other professions, the opportunities are there but women aren't interested.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Men can cry in very certain circumstances and that's it no matter what, weeping at a disaster is allowable, crying at a press conference for no reason doesn't fly for either sex.

[–][deleted] -1 points0 points1 point 12 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

There are a lot of special programs that women are interested in the issue is there are a lot of things that just openly scream inequality like unequal pay.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Unequal pay has been thoroughly debunked.

[–][deleted] 7 points8 points9 points 12 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

Being a beta though isn't so terrible. but it's still love

Alright, have fun when your wife fucks some random badass man over you and then tells you that she still loves you and "it just happened, honey". There is no such thing as love, just attraction/lust and deciet. If you believe in love you haven't reached maturity yet

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

I don't believe in love but i believe in passion. Humans are naturally poly-amorous. I don't want to get married. Relationships end and people move on to new people. It just happens and that's life.

[–]TheSKSpecial 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Which would be all well and good if you didn't have kids in the balance and the state wasn't allowed to interfere on either behalf.

[–][deleted] -1 points0 points1 point 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I just think relationships are much more even then people give credit. There will always be the bad seeds who are basically Scumbag Stacy's or like one of the girls many of you have encountered or seen or whatever but at the end of the day there really are a lot of great fish in the sea.

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

That's wishful thinking, if people where on the whole good, we'd have a utopia and red pill wouldn't exist as it would never be needed, combine that with the state of marriage now, it basically acts as one big temptation with no consequences.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

passion=lust=attraction

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I wouldn't totally agree necessarily. I think personality definitely plays a big part but attraction definitely does too. I wouldn't say attraction and lust are the same thing though.
