The gist of it was that boredom will kill a woman's attraction faster than anything. Make her feel mad, happy, sad, whatever... Just make her feel SOMETHING. If you are boring and safe, she'll look for excitement elsewhere.

I recognize that I am boring and safe. And if being boring and safe condemns me to be single forever, then so be it. I don't know many men with the desire to manufacture drama for the sake of keeping a woman, and the men who do are taking the term "courting disaster" to a whole 'nother level.

Isn't life interesting and varied enough without needing someone else to simulate excitement?

I think this is just men’s interpretation of us feeling unwanted or neglected.

If he’s just treating you like a roommate or acting like just bringing home a paycheck is enough and he can just sit in the couch all night watching tv and ignoring you, you feel unwanted/neglected.

We try to talk you about it and you call it nagging. We get fed up and file for divorce and you act shocked and call it branch swinging.

Not for me. I dislike being made to feel mad, sad, by somebody I am supposed to be in a partnership with. I dislike fighting or manufactured drama. That makes me walk away. I do not require drama or manufactured excitement in my personal life to feel validated. People who need that are missing something big internally.

There's a ton of truth to it, and something that needs to be learned since it isn't obvious to most guys.

Said another way, compliments of Pook, you should be fun. Fun is good and fun isn't boring.

I'm not one to manufacture actual drama for the sake of manufacturing drama, but I have made an effort to flirt, tease, make bad dad jokes, be a cocky smartass, say absurd shit, etc as a baseline, which is in line with my personality generally. When I get the sigh followed by an eye-roll I know I've done my job. The key is keeping that over time and despite stress and other shit. Starting actual fights and all that is fucked up to me, I don't intend to do that nor will my SO respond well to that.

There was one guy on MRP who had a wife who would start meaningless fights and all that then subsequently be lovey and sexual the next few days after; he had a hell of a time connecting the dots for her need for drama and tension in order to engage romantically since it's so backwards to most people, men and women included. Some women are like that and feed off of actual fighting and such to feel validated; if you're with one of those what do you do: do you engage it knowing you have to manufacture drama in order to keep the passion alive (as you noted) or do you not and have things potentially get boring?

I'm one for the Pook (be fun) and Way Of The Superior Man (embrace & engage the feminine emotion) mindset vs. being a dick needlessly, but YMMV depending on your girl.

but then in real life their lizard brain lurrrrvvs drama. emotional excitement can feel very similar in some ways to sexual arousal and for that reason one often leads to the other.
