Why are women checking out of the dating game?

Women in general would rather be single than dating men they consider below them. It’s neither bad nor good, it just how it is.

And those girls who are checking out usually have strong friendships and access to sex, they just skip over the stereotypical monogamous relationship model

Media has upped our expectations and reality cannot match those expectations.

Our parents couldn't raise us for the current social climate because there was no way for them to anticipate what would happen, so we're all anxious and effectively socially stunted.

Everything is so stimulating that dating, sex, romance, etc. barely registers as emotionally significant.

We're all so scared of commitment and the future that for many it doesn't seem like a worthy investment of time.

Just a few of the many reasons I've picked up on.

Women are largely turned off by a guy that is in a lower job than her.

Yet feminists are pushing more and more women into high paying white collar jobs.

Which is fine, but the unintended consequence is that there will be fewer men that scratch the provider itch that women have.

There are no feminists talking points about changing the societal expectations that men are providers, nor are they shaming women for shaming men for being unambitious.

Because there are no men to choose from. Some afre to feminine for my taste and those who are not, have some alfa male complex and act like jerks. Finding someone who is not a pussy and not an alfa dickhead is almost impossible.

Dating a man often means doing all the emotional labor and all the housework. It's not a good deal. You get to clean up after some dude who never makes you cum and doesn't provide any meaningful affection or emotional support. Hashtag not all men, but I can see how a woman who's dealt with a few of those in a row would just decide to rely on friendships, pets, and maybe occasional casual sex. Even more so if she's been through an actual abusive relationship.

My social circle is mostly people in their early to mid thirties earning middle class to wealthy incomes. Mostly very attractive, successful folks. I have noticed a disproportionate amount of women around me happily choosing to jot date anyone seriously and remain single and child free with their own assets in their name. Granted, these aren't exactly average women, but they all seem pretty happy to me. Any one of them could land a great boyfriend by tomorrow if they wanted. I can think of one guy I know who's also chosen this route. He seems happy enough.

First, all women want the top 10% of men. Its like musical chairs. They can't all get one.

Second, in modern society men and women have more equal educational and economic opportunities. But women are naturally hypergamous, so there are fewer attractive partners for them. This adds to the "musical chairs" thing- lots of women competing for a small number of "spots" (i.e. commitment from a few men).

Third, men tend to like young fecund women. A young woman can usually at least be a "side chick" to some attractive high status man. But when she gets older, she'll no longer hold a high position in a high status man's harem. She'll go from #2 to #200 in rotation. So you have lots of older women who are used to dating top men, who aren't very attractive anymore, and who want rich beta bucks, but there aren't many of those around.

Fourth, women all chasing the same men when they're young leaves a lot of guys out. So when these women get older with baggage and wrinkles, the guys who they rejected before may say "fuck you b****, I don't want you anymore."

Because women say things they don’t mean or intend to do anything about because it’s the current vogue thing to say, primarily just to get validation from all the other women who are saying the exact same thing.

It’s simply the way humans have evolved. It’s a textbook case of the conformist, collectivist, human female hierarchy system in action.
